We are going to be in for a long season. This attack is stagnant. Just do the same shite over and over again and hope for a miracle.

I don’t care about preseason nonsense. We shouldn’t be giving up 3 goals to Villarreal and doing the same thing over and over again.

Is preseason not the time to try different things? We have seen very little of that thus far.

Sloppy on d and need to get the timing better on offense. Play through the middle more.

Do like the look of Mosquera.

And the two players people want to see replaced got an assist and a goal today.

The bad: defending on the counter was really poor. Merino and Norgaard struggled athletically in the middle together. Also, like last year we struggled breaking down a team with 11 behind the ball.

The good: Zubimendi looks great at the 6. Ethan looked really promising in the midfield going forward. And Max Dowman!!! Wow, I honestly think he was the best attacking player on the field. He needs to play some significant minutes this season.

I wouldn’t be opposed to starting white at rb and timber at lb. MLS still a green player. Will give us the defensive line up I thought we’d have two seasons ago.

Imagine 15/16 year old Max Dowman being one of the reasons we win a major trophy this year

Insane considering how good Saka and Nwaneri are, who along with Ashley Cole I consider the Hale End Goats of the century

Anyone know how Gabriel looked? Excited he is back

He didn’t run very well, but I’m guessing he’s just not pushing it.

I sure hope they are holding back any offensive changes for GW1, but my god it’s been a painful watch so far. A 15 year old has been our best performer offensively through 4 games

I haven't sat down to watch a preseason game so far; is he really that good?

He’s pretty unbelievable even if he wasn’t 15

He and I’d say Zubimendi have been the best players. The kid is dynamic.

Arteta is the Les Miles of the EPL

Martinelli had the assist. It’s amazing that Saka gets no blow back for missing a sitter of a header.

I think it’s the only thing he knows now. The run in 22-23 broke his attacking brain

Every single team we play will play us the exact same way outside of the very top teams.

Physical, mid/low block and watch us spin our wheels throwing in crosses to no one waiting for a miracle/set piece/ penalty

I hope the club uses the preseason to see we really need another attacking option on the left.
But at the same time, it’s still not the regular season. Our 2nd tier midfield started today and our best 11 haven’t played together yet. We were a top 5 team in the world last season and our squad has only improved. There are some concerns but let’s start to judge when the season starts.

Seen some rumblings about Loan+buy obligation for Rodrygo

Would allow to still get Eze if he’s still an option (and I think it should be considered)

If we lose to united.

Going to be a long first few weeks if the season.

Also would like to see our starting midfield play with Gyok before I totally freak out.

I do that in a heart beat.

Like we did with Odegaard.
