Yep, it's off

Amazing what can happen when you access central zones on the dribble. Need more of that overall

What a pass from Martinelli

When he got the ball at the touchline and didn't play it safe, I knew we were in business.

Gutsy measured performance from the boys,

Sporting have a fantastic home record

Martinelli HASSSS to start next Wednesday. No questions asked. HAS to. Especially since we may be on the counter next week.

I honestly think this was a masterclass by Arteta.

Brought Nelli and Havertz on to change it up. Only team to win away there.

Martinelli is having an absurd CL run this year. 8 G/A in 9 games!

He had 6 G/A in 19 the past 2 years in the CL.

He's quite literally one of the best counter attacking wingers in Europe. Surely someone will pay us at least 60 or 70 mil this summer for him. Martinelli has record Arsenal sale written all over him

Glad for the first leg win, but boy were we dreadful attacking in this one. Sporting had more touches in the box than we did.

Hopefully we can continue getting folks healthy, but the way we played is not a recipe for consistent success at all

This is just who we are right now. Blue collar Arsenal.

Yeah Madrid and Bayern get all the praise for playing brilliant football. But one of them will be at home while Arsenal move on to a semi final.

I'm not really even talking about brilliant football, up until the 90' minute we had generated like .2 xG.

All it takes is a worldie or deflection goal to beat us when we do that (and that is exactly how we've lost or drawn almost all of our games this year).

If we don't figure it out, it has a potential to be our downfall. Just need to lock in (and get some folks healthy) for the next 7 weeks

Yeah, but I'm saying we will live and die this way. Lots of the games will be a grind. But we found that moment and scored with class.

We won't even win all the games left, that's for sure. But doesn't mean it won't end with a trophy or two. Just embrace it.

Yeah, I just don't think things are going to change and our offensive players are all in and out of form at different times.

It's all about just grinding the season down. In our second leg it could be another 1-0 or 0-0 if Sporting decide to set up defensively and nick a goal. If they come at us, we could beat them by 3.

Lets look at how other teams are talked about.

quote:

Barça has played a sensational second half despite being one man down. And Lamine and Olmo were a class on their own.

They lost 0-2. Id rather win then get the plaudits and lose.

Been some rumblings on twitter that Odegaard had a setback. Not sure what that means in the long run
