If you’d have given me a point going into it, I’d have been happy. Playing for a half with a man advantage should have been a win.

On to the next

part of me says i’m ok with the tie since its away from home

but the other part is having a sweet opportunity for most of the game to press on their necks and win this out and not doing shite with it

Credit to Chelsea tho. I think them not crumbling and still going for it after was the sign of a team that has played with 10 men much of the season

Point away from home against the second place team in the league on the third game in seven days after emotional wins in the NLD and against Bayern.

Missing both of your starting CBs and your in form LW. Still working back in all of your attacking guys from injury.

One on hand frustrating to only get a point with a half a game with a man advantage, on the other hand given the above a point was good result as soon as these starting lineups were announced

Gyokeres had the win on a plate if Timber wasn't there so that hurt to watch, but overall you take the point.

We looked gassed out there, especially with Saliba and Trossard picking up injuries.

Good news is we got a ton of people back from injury which is needed because December is a heavy fixture list. Disappointed you don't get the 3 points, but you gotta love the position we are in at the moment.

Chelsea haven't beaten us at their place in 7 years lol.

Worst performance from us since probably away at United.

Win would have been great, long season. Most of our big road games are over

We've played all the big 6 once and add Newcastle to that

A United W - 3 Points
A Liverpool L - 0 Points
H City D - 1 Point
A Newcastle W - 3 Points
H Spurs - 3 Points
A Chelsea D - 1 Point

11 Points from 18. Not bad at all. And we get everyone minus Spurs and City at home in 2026. Add Villa to that too.

Not including those, we won 2 boogey fixtures away at Fulham and home to Palace.

Chelsea and City have yet to play each other.

We are in a great spot. It is just tiredness. Like I said I want to be well rested for Villa away. We won last season but that is also a tough place to play.

Not having one of Saliba or Gabriel in there really hurt us. CBs looked constantly out of sync and erratic today.

Mosquera & Hincapie have only played together once, and it showed with the aggressive man to man pressing

Also, lost in the chaos of the game, we actually gained a point on City this week

Yeah, I want to see some rotation.

Will probably have to go with same cbs, would rather just hold Saliba for villa.

Start White, Timber has played a lot and need him for Villa.

Should be able to start Odegaard and drop zubi or rice to rest them for Villa.

Gyokeres should be able to start as well.

Mosquera was on the ball a lot and he was our youngest player that started.

I guess we didn't have time to adjust the plan because Saliba is the one usually on the ball that much and has a high rate of pass completions. I wonder if that's why Rice was dropping in between them to get the ball in the second half.

I don't think either cbs played bad but we just lack that fear factor in both boxes without Saliba and Gabriel. They are two of the best cbs in the world, if not the best.

Their overall play was fine, but without one of the 2 mainstays next to them, they both looked a little jittery, and at times seemed like in the wrong places in the buildup, and anticipation of the counters.

It was very obvious that Hincapie & Mosquera haven't had a lot of game time together (and I'm guessing not much practice time either because Saliba probably picked up his knock on Saturday) especially against an aggressive man to man press.

Arteta said this morning that Saliba & Trossard are "days" away from being back. I assume that means probably this weekend against Villa

Gabriel & Havertz are "weeks" so I'd assume around Christmas time they are back. He said Havertz is out on the pitch, so that's good news.

Got 8 games this month, so we'll need some refreshments for sure

Yeah Havertz and Gabriel are going to be a bit longer but I think we should have everyone else back by the weekend.

Jesus was on the bench v Chelsea so he’s got to be ready for some minutes soon.

City allowing 4 goals to Fulham is crazy.

City still winning is crazy.

Need these losers to drop points man.

I like that we are still top. So it’s nice to keep that cushion.

Brentford aren’t as bad as I thought they would be this season but their away form is awful while our home form is great. Should be 3 points tomorrow.
