Yeah, we’ve all seen this movie before. Sterling should never step on the field again after this.

We default to crosses far too often. I get it if Saka is here and delivery is perfect but I don't need Partey whipping crosses

It’s just so hard to not be negative about this club and team.

They don’t do anything well but keep possession and play defense, and then the defense loses focus regularly

We just played a United team who have been an awful run of form with 10 min for 60 min and only managed a single goal, from a CB

Another insanely early FA Cup exit. When is the last time we advanced past the 4th round? 2020?

At least we still have the champions league.

Oh wait our manager sucks at cups.

This is truly one of the most unlucky seasons in the history of the club.

Depending on Champions League, it will be up there with the 2005-06 season when we lost the Champions League final because Henry couldn't score a one on one

Our chances of winning a knockout round against anyone are almost 0.

I’m not sure how you can watch this team and think otherwise

They all lack confidence and we don’t have a single attack strategy than to send 100 crosses in the box and hope someone gets lucky

It’s way more bearable since I wrote this season off already. Laughably unlucky to start, but now with injuries and form, just don’t care too much. I’ll continue to watch, but I just expect to waste every chance created.

While the defense is good, we have let the mistakes creep back in, and as we all know, every other team actually puts the ball in the back of the net when the opportunity comes.

The club won’t buy anyone that can finish this window. So it’s not worth giving a shite.

can’t say i’m surprised with the result

finishing top 4 is still achievable which unfortunately is the teams ceiling

There's only so much we can expect Saliba and Gabriel to do to clean up. Now when they f up and we leak ridiculously unlucky goals, then the attack let's them down. We have to be perfect at the back and let's be real the back has been more than good enough despite the injuries this year. More than good enough.

We have to spend 150 mil on a new CDM/CM and 2 or 3 forwards. I expect someone like Trossard to go too. The rumors were there in late August.

The annoying part is that this was supposed to be our year especially in the league

Arteta says Jesus is a "big worry. That's my feeling. He had to come off on a stretcher with a lot of pain, touching his knee. It's not looking good." He says he thinks it's the other knee to the one that he injured at the World Cup.

Back to 4 healthy forwards.

ETA: Timber went off touching his hamstring as well

Asked Mikel Arteta if following his comments in the pre-match presser where he seemed to hint that significant business is unlikely this month whether his view personally is that the squad is strong enough or if that's the club's position: He said: "No. It's the reality right now. We are not close to anything and we're focused on the players that we have. The club is always working and we're always working to try and improve our team but it has to be possible with our resources and with players that can make us better."

If we go all out in the summer then I'm all for it. Can't have another summer of minimal spending tho
