The only surprise so far is the loss to Brentford. I think we can all be realistic and figured Arsenal would lose to Chelsea and then City next week.
RB is still a problem area for me in defense, since whoever Arteta puts at RB is shite. I don't like Xhaka, as we've seen what he can and can't do. They have had no attacking identity besides push Tierney up the left flank and cross to no one. Also, the two highest scorers from the team last season have missed virtually both games (Auba came on for 29 minutes yesterday). We've started Balogun and Martinelli up top in these two games and they've barely gotten into the game. Odegaard is desperately needed in this squad. Partey returning from injury will also help (I'd like to see him and Sambi together). Saka has played 91 minutes total in two matches. Mari wouldn't be playing as LCB if Gabriel was healthy.
I'm not going all "the sky is falling" mode, but I'm not far off. I know all of the above sounds like excuses, but this team is not as deep as the title contenders. If Arteta is missing his best players, the quality of the replacements aren't great. And you can't bring in many replacements if no one wants to buy your shitty players to generate funds.

I get our team is short of top tier talent.
But i watched the games before ours. wolves and southampton were never out of the game.
Our game was over when chelsea scored. I just have zero confidence in arteta to get the most out of the players available.

As per @SamiMokbel81_DM, Willian is close to signing for Corinthians on a free transfer.
Confirmed by those close to the player.

Lucas Torreira to Fiorentina, deal set to be completed. Details confirmed: €1.5m loan fee, €15m buy option. Green light from Arsenal and medical pending, as per @chriswheatley_

I'll fricking cry when that piece of fricking shite Willian gets the frick out of here. frick that trash arse dude. I've never hated a player on one of my teams more.
Maybe Danny McCray or Karnell Hatcher

I look forward to dominating possession and only getting 4 shots off.

Yeah i heard/read he was liking chelsea posts after they beat us.
I mean this is another huge failure on Arteta. You telling me we couldnt have gotten 8th with Pepe starting like half of the games you gave to Willian? Or even give some of those games to Reis Nelson and we could have seen what hes got or raised his fricking value.

Legitimately one of the worst transfers in soccer history.
Definitely in Arsenal history. The crazy thing is that we all saw what was going to happen. I am still so annoyed at this disastrous signing.
I read somewhere that we paid him a 14 million signing bonus on top of his 100 or 180 a week salary
Just unreal how stupid a signing. I want the days when Arsene refused to sign people over 30.

Lucas to Fiorentina on loan with option to buy.
And line up
Ramsdale, tavares, chambers, holding, kolasinac, elneny, xhaka, odegaard, pepe, saka, aubameyang
leno, mari, amn, sambi, smith-rowe, martinelli, Laca.
Weve got to win this damn game. No excuses.

State of Arsenal if they can’t win against this wba lineup

Don't put it past Arteta m8. We could be playing the New Orleans Jesters and would struggle to attack and press.

Team is just so stale.. but Saka did some work there and the lucky parry right to Auba for the tap in. Terrible goal to concede for the Baggies.

Saka looks like Messi out there lmao

The Xhaka - Elneny midfield pairing is just awful. No reason Elneny should be getting a new contract, as rumors suggested.

Is Arsenal a mid-tier club now moving forward?

Aiming for 10th and the CarabGOAT Cup.

I wish we got to play West Brom and those shitty Europa League teams weekly.
This is fun.
Can't wait to wake up at 6:15AM on Saturday and be humbled yet again by Man City.
