Arsenal on verge of agreement with Sheff Utd to sign Aaron Ramsdale. £24m + £6m in add-ons (only likely to apply if/when 23yo is established 1st choice). #SHU initially wanted £40m. Proposed deal 4yrs + 1 option. Not in squad vs #WBA @TheAthleticUK #AFC

Wonder if we will play 3 at the back on Sunday.

And if no auba or laca, play pepe up top.

You can have saka play right wing back. I know thats maybe not ideal. But Arteta did go 3 at the back against them last time. You can drop ESR into the midfield with xhaka and sambi.

Especially if no Gabriel. you can do a back 3 of tierney holding, white, or mari, holding, white.

white Holding Tierney/Mari

Saka Sambi xhaka esr Tavares/Tierney

Pepe Martinelli

This is on the assumption that the players out on friday are still out.

Genuinely excited about Ramsdale. Been awhile since the ol' Seaman demon was manning those posts. Weird how many foreign GK's Arsenal have had since him.

I’m not thrilled about spending 24mil on a backup keeper. We need a RB

I think its not getting rid of players.

If we sold Xhaka and Bellerin or Laca, i think we bring in another cm and rb and st.

but since we didnt we are stuck.

Every other position we filled was a need.

CAM, CM to replace ceballos, CB to replace luiz, back up left back and back up GK.

Like this is actually a really good window from a mid table club point of view. All young players.

Definitely. It’s so frustrating that some of these dudes are still here collecting wages. Xhaka, kolasinac, elneny, bellerin, willian still here. Get anything for them. Get them off the books. Torreira, where’s this dude been? He’s AWOL, get him out. What tf are Edu and them doing

Sell Eddie (5-10mil) for anything. Loan Reiss out. AMN needs to either take his chance at RB or sell him for something. He’s not getting into the midfield. What’s the plan cause I’m not seeing it

Statistically one of the worst distributors and an average shot stopper. I'm not too excited about it but the more Leno plays, the more this dude will excite I guess. Leno sucks dick now

I didn’t want Ramsdale initially but Leno doesn’t seem to give a shite so I could see Ramsdale taking the starting job this season. I would still like to add one more player, preferably an attacking midfielder or right back. But we currently have 4 RBs and another 5 or 6 players that need to be offloaded before we can make more moves IMO. I have a feeling we are going to see a bunch of last minute loans.

Martin Ødegaard has passed his Arsenal medical but is unlikely to play against Chelsea - he's currently waiting for a visa to be granted.

Ramsdale undergoing his medical now and expected to be in the squad for Sunday's game.

Haha not really but I don’t think we will buy a new one unless 1 or 2 leave. I’d love to sell Bellerin, loan Cedric (because no one will buy him) and then keep Chambers/AMN for their versatility.

This is what you have to look forward to: 1) brilliant save 2) rolls the ball to the other team. 3) other team scores on him via a nutmeg.

They would have to give Eddie away or pay someone to take him.

I think Brighton bid like 12 million or something for Eddie in January. We were too good for that bid tho
