Think we went from Ozil-Ramsey in their primes to Smith Rowe-Odegaard.

Are we just going to gloss over the short, but entertaining, Torreira-Guendouzi days?

Shkodran Mustafi is in talks with Arsenal to terminate his contract early (similar agreement to Ozil & Sokratis).

28-year-old defender hasn't played since Boxing Day and his reps are trying to secure a January move for him.
I guess they don't have any solid transfer offers for Mustafi. Hell, I'd even take $1 instead of terminating his contract and getting nothing in return besides his wages off the books.

i feel like he is much older than 28, plays like he’s 48

i’ll always remember the fans drooling over the kolcielny/mustafi pairing during the first part of the 2016 season

been downhill ever since, glad to finally get rid of him

I honestly think it will be a travesty if we don’t bring

Thats why I included him in my left for free post a couple days ago. It was heavily rumored they would just let him go. More bad business.

Lol rumors about doing a swap with him and draxler in summer. Draxler is going to be like 38 and still rumored to come to Arsenal.

No Tierney and no Auba. Motherfricker.

Yeah this sux. I'm guessing Saka on left and Pepe on the rt. In theory that front 3/4 should be good enough. Pepe needs to show more with Smith Rowe in there. Not sure they've started together yet.

At least Partey is starting.

Damn it that was it. You have to score there.

Yeap.. Game over now.

Nvm, Pepe decided to do something rt.

Laca with a bad miss, then concede from a set play in the 3rd minute

This is a very makeshift backline for Southampton, if they cant score its serious issues.

I was even about to say not sure of Pepe on the left, both defenses look shaky.

Thankfully he converted, because since he stayed upright I doubt the ref would have given the Pen. Also had a wide open ESR in the center.

I think the announcers are rt about him playing on the left. If we are going to cross balls in and do cut backs its better he's on the left. He doesn't have to switch to the other foot and slow play down.

Its up to how you want to use him. Pure facilitator, go left. Want goals, go right. I think they wanted to justify his astronomical price and get him goal chances so out him on the right. That and we saw what happens when you put AMN, cedric, etc on the left just the other day when nobody on the left could get a cross in. They all had to cut it back and stop play to send in a cross.

Glad they were able to recover after Laca blew the goal chance in the first minute and then they gave up a goal 2 minutes later.

Yeah I was fearing the worst, but I've seen this so many times.

Can't let up though. Need one more.

Very strange sequence of events. Pepe getting subbed, gets a yellow, Smith Rowe down hurt, Willian comes on instead, Pepe stays on then we score.
