In the Scotland camp, Stuart Armstrong has tested positive for COVID-19. Kieran Tierney has to self-isolate as he's been identified as a close contact. Armstrong (10 day isolation) can play vs Chelsea. Tierney (14 day isolation) will not be able to vs City. Both games on 17/10.

How does the guy that tests positive have to quarantine less time than someone who didn’t?

Statement from Arsenal
quote:
Our medical team have confirmed that Kieran was socially distant at all times from the player who tested positive and has broken no rules regarding COVID-19 protocols. We are currently seeking further advice and clarification of the details.
Kieran has also been in touch and has said: "I'm so disappointed and frustrated to be in this situation. I have adhered to all regulations and made sure I was socially distancing from my team mates in the hotel. I've also tested negative. I know Arsenal and the SFA are now in discussions with the Scottish authorities to gain a further understanding."

Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are understood to have been left out of Arsenal's Europa League squad.

Partey with 2 assists for Ghana today.

I’m curious to see if Arteta starts him against City.

He's fit and ready. The only thing that could hold him back is if Arteta feels Partey isn't comfortable enough in the system yet.

I believe they are only getting like 2 days of training with the players away on duty. And that's if they don't have to quarantine once back.
I didn't watch any of these games but Saka got in for England so they have him tied down. Not sure if there was any real threat of him playing for Nigeria. But good to see for the youngin.

Actually i just did a search and it looks like he will miss saturday even though he has returned THREE negative tests.
Oh okay this is what i said earlier, This is a Scotland thing not an England thing.
And Kolasinac got hurt in the bosnia game so could be interesting on what we do at cb and left back

I'd imagine Holding, Luiz, and Gabriel at CB. Probably AMN at LB over Saka because of his defensive attributes.

Mikel Arteta on Tierney: “This is getting very complicated when we are sending players abroad & obviously you lose control, some authorities have different regulations. We are still having some discussions with the authorities & hopefully we will know more this afternoon.”

- Partey's first session today, Arteta doesn't rule him out of Man City
- Saliba not going out on loan
- Arteta still hopes Tierney can play Saturday
- Leaving Ozil out of EL squad a "difficult decision"
- Arteta would like to see Wenger back at Emirates

Martinelli frickin YOKED

So gundouzi tested positive, mavropanos needs surgery, his Arsenal career prob won't go anywhere.
Arteta hoping Wenger comes back around when it's safe.
No loan for saliba even down the leagues
And Partey is going to be let loose because they play in a restrictive way under Simeone
Lol sorry different arse didn't see your post
