How are some of these challenges not yellows?

Man not to hate on the guy but Almiron looks like an alien.

Not the best performance but I'll take the 3 points. Cant wait until we get our best 11 out there.

Newcastle had a few chances after they brought in black rambo
love the clean sheet to start the season

Imagine when Ceballos, Ozil, Auba, Lacazette and Pepe are on the same pitch together..... gonna be CLASS

And Luiz, Tierany, and Hector on defense too.

Yeah we looked pedestrian at times. And I just don't like mhki.
Surprised Martinelli got in.
Willock is going to be really good for us. Hope Emery keeps using him.

Xhaka had a very good game today. Happy for him. We need him at his best week in and out. Hopefully Willock lights a fire under his arse.
Nelson was much better in the 2nd half but I will preface it by saying I am not the resident Reiss Nelson pumper. I fricking love that dude. I like how he isn't afraid to try something new. Would like him to try going in behind more but tbf we didn't have the midfield today to put people in behind.
Mkhitaryan was fricking shite to average today as is usually expected. For £200,000 a week, you expect someone who can have great games against Newcastle and other shite clubs. Can't wait for a Auba-Laca-Pepe front line. The less Mkhitaryan, the greater our champions league chances. I don't even want him coming off the bench. Give Reiss and Martinelli chances first.
No Mustafi was fantastic. Sokratis did the job. Won't mind him being a solid 3rd option behind Luiz and Holding. Chambers was good today. At worst we can sell him for £25ish million next season. At best, he continues to give us good performances like we saw today. His passing will improve. He's better than Mustafi which is great. Nice to know we can have even a tiny amount of hope with 4 decent enough centerbacks. Let's pray to Dennis Bergkamp that they do well enough to get us through December so we can go back in for Upamecano.

plus Mhki is more experienced at covering for AMN.
There was a moment early where he lost the ball and just stopped, left AMN alone. Run your arse back.

Maybe I'm just over him, but he once again did a stupid arse foul and got a yellow. He also takes too long to pass the ball. When he looses it, he looks stuck in mud.

Yea he made a few mistakes. Should use him for cup matches. Hes not ready for important matches yet. Mhki and Nelson will move to the bench once Pepe and Laca are ready so I doubt we see Martinelli in the league any time soon.

A clean sheet away to start the season, can’t complain. It was the spring before we had one of those last season.

I’m actually pretty pumped for our squad this year, and how the depth will work for the season. I think it could be a special season.
