well, we're going to make signings. Ander Herrera would be a nice start.

the injuries though...so ridiculous. what shite luck.

Gustavo would have really helped out today, huh? I didn't watch most of y'all game but the midfield tackling was pretty bad.

We need signings so badly right now. We are gonna have to overpay but we literally have no choice.

We really need to find a DM. Frimpong would have been better than Wilshere or Ramsey. Both lacked the defensive awareness to defend properly as a unit. Frustrating game and a lot of bad luck but we've put ourselves in that situation.

i think generally it was alright. the first Gabby run Rambo and Kos whiffed on him. a quicker, better GK would have pounced on his heavy touch though. szcz isn't suited for our style of play. and he hasn't improved over the last three years.

Damn. If Wenger doesn't sign anybody before the window closes it could be a rough year.

the result isnt bugging me. Its the fact we knew we needed help, now injuries have already piled up and we are left with just a shell of a team we had last year that struggled to get 4th.

inexcusable imo.

Oh and we have a dimwit for a gk

So we may not have gibbs, monreal or sagna for wednesday. Add that they are saying Ramsey has an ankle knock and there could go wengers exepriment at playing ramsey on d.

My frustrations are tempered considering how poorly we started last campaign, and that our players are quite frankly pansies made of glass whom always seem to suffer frequent injuries which hold them out of action for lengthy periods of time.

Massively frustrating day but we've got to look forward and focus on the trip to Turkey now, got an important job to do.

Good night Gunner fans.

I know no one cares but I had an incredible time at the match. Nothing could overshadow the euphoria of being there and the first goal.

Thought the refs were complete shite, but the Villa fans were pretty solid. Congrats bobloblaw. Spend some fricking money arsene.

I can understand not going into the market because you think any player who could run with the "1's" would be too overpriced, but I absolutely cannot understand not buying to build depth given Arsenal's history of having players made of glass.

You questioned the PK on Szcezny in the other thread and it was the right call. Well, it should have been a red, but it was a pk. The second one was shite, but shite happens.

FWIW, I think it's ridiculous to red card keepers who are simply diving at the ball. The player can see the contact coming and the keeper can do little to avoid contact in those situations.

I see what you are saying, but it's a risk. You come out to get and miss, you may be sent off. I wouldn't have had an issue with no card and a PK, but if it is a card, it's red.

No I questioned it at first in the game itself along with everyone else in section on every call. I talked to a guy afterward who said it was the right call. But for perspective a middle aged black dude I quickly became friends with that was a ManU fan thought the same thing.

It was a scrappy game but I thought the ref blew the whistle way too much. It disrupted the flow of the game which hurts Arsenal more of course.

Physical matches, and defending set plays are still our undoing.

The ball was passed just before Czcz took him out, so if it was a card it should have been yellow.

My beef with that call is that you gave them 2 chances at goal on the play. The referee waited until after the first shot to blow the whistle and award the penalty. That's saying that this foul was so egregious that the offended team deserves not one, but TWO chances on goal as a result.
