I lol'ed at this paragraph about why we are not going to sign Gustavo cause it makes too much sense.

"We’re like footballing hipsters. We want to discover what’s cool ourselves, find it before anyone else does, and if someone tells us about something that’s already cool we’ll tilt our gigantic glasses, twirl our ridiculous, wispy moustache, stand with one hand on the hip of our ridiculously tight, pink three-quarter length sailor pants and say ‘Yeah, but have you got a 16 year old from Ethiopia?’"

I read that earlier today as well. I also laughed. Out loud.

The anticipation for Saturday, mixed with the curiosity with which I wake up each morning as I scour the Internet for news of our newest signee that never happens is really starting to weigh on me.

And Friday is "Wear Your Jersey" day as my office attempts to act like as long as you get a 'theme' on Fridays, people will look forward to going to work... so I'm going to be wearing my Wilshire kit to work Friday... Which will probably only heighten my anticipation... And we won't sign anyone... And I'll be as frustrated then as I am drunk now.

Come on you Gunners!

New away kit is awesome. My brother has it and it looks sweet. Looking forward to Saturday.

cazorla played a full 90 yesterday, is a doubt to start

arteta has a slight thigh problem, getting a scan, is a doubt.

monreal 10 days away from rejoining practice

TV5 longer

didn't mention ramsey or baccy, both who have knocks too apparently.

our lineup, particularly our bench, is going to be laughable this weekend. not good at all. this might be the thinnest arsenal team in recent memory.

seriously, is zelalem going to have to start? if no santi, rosicky, arteta, or rambo, jack has to play further back. who the hell knows who will pair with jack back there. if frimpong had any preseason game experience he damn well might. might have to be the Ox.

we have two healthy CBs now too. awesome. would love to see one of our reserve CBs, who've been getting dominated by lower competition in the past two reserve matches, get PT!!!!!!!!!

it's cool we offloaded dead weight. it's not cool that we didn't replace the dead weight that actually played for us and contributed.

This concerns me a great deal. Especially with drawing Fenerbache for UCL Qualification.

he could. but it's up in the air. the fact he didn't travel to asia is a negative in this case. he isn't fully fit because he came to training late. to ask him to play 90 Wednesday, 90 Saturday, 90 next week midweek in a crucial CL qualifier, etc. is bad. del bosque is a real a-hole for playing him 90.

yeah, i honestly think santi shouldn't start saturday because of the CL. he has to play next week. he isn't back to enough fitness to be playing that many minutes at this point of the season.

We are going to lose Kos after this season if we don't show some fricking ambition and sign some players.

we were light in the back. we knew that coming into the season. we should have strengthened back there already. MF we seemingly had more leeway. this is quite a bit at once, even for us (though I'd argue we should never rely on rosicky being healthy).

transfers are threatening to ruin the legacy of a truly great manager.
