I agree. I really like the composition of this team.

Exactly, and we have the funds to do it. As I said earlier today, it really is difficult being a fan of this franchise, but I really love it. We are just a bit masochistic.

@JamesOlley: Wilshere on setting aside club issues when playing for your country: "There's not much going on at Arsenal at the moment." #afc

With the Gustavo situation looking less than optimistic, full on panic mode for most Arsenal sites/boards I've been reading. Someone on r/gunners said RVP has been vindicated in this transfer window, and it's hard to disagree.

that quote wasn't meant in that context, but certainly sounds funny...

Goose has offers from us, napoli, inter, and barça according to Bild.

If someone upstairs could promise me that our squad would never get injured or tired I'd be perfectly fine with it... but we are disastrously short on depth.

Did we sign like 15 guys yesterday? Maybe this is wrong.

I wouldn't. We need to show ambition in landing big signings or we will continue to lose our best players. Getting good value is great but sports aren't a Ben Graham narrative. Kos has expressed frustration, do you think he will want to hang around if Bayern start courting him in future transfer windows?

Exact reason why RVP left. Oh and 225K a week.

I would worry a little bit about morale if we made no signings. the guys seemed to expect an addition or two. they know they're light. they want to win.

wish we had another striker or LW. I really hate Poldi and I'm afraid he's going to play way too much for my liking this year. we're putting a lot on Ox (who I don't think is really cut out for a position in the top 3) or gnabry or ryo (two unproven prospects who've shown some flashes but don't appear to be world beating talent).

Di Maria and Ozil could be available.

yeah right. they'll just get raises or something too.

I'm beginning to wonder if we actually are convinced that Cesc is coming back next summer (or at least would be a possibility). I can't think of another reason why we haven't been targeting a non-striker attacking player...

on an alanis ironic note, vieira signed for us 17 years ago today

Still in disbelief that with all the talk about money we have to spend plus the dead weight we have dropped and we still have spent zero and the season starts on Saturday. Absolutely boggles my mind.

I think Wegner is playing a game of how close can we get to not making CL while still making it. Last year it was on the last day now he wants to see if we can tie on points and get it on GD.

every day i wake up with hopes of seeing SOMETHING positive in terms of signings for arsenal. I do have faith in the team that we do have. It seems like the group really clicks which means alot, but the fact that everyone was in high hopes of multiple signings and at least one HUGE player will really be a kick in the nuts to fans and players

I wanted to believe this time. But after we dicked around and didn't sign Higuain early on, I should've known.

It really sucks to see all the other top teams signing players left and right, and Arsenal can't even make one impact signing.

wilshere and Walcott starting for England.

I'm concerned because we have CL qualifying midweek these next two weeks. might run light on bodies.
