So do we root for rvp to score?
Posted on 8/12/12 at 11:32 am to Jumbeauxlaya
I dunno but we should root for Chamakh to disappear.

We should be excited. Strongest squad we've had in years.

Chamakh being deployed like Beowulf. On the right wing. SMH

Good showing by the team. The new signings really impressed. Now we need to get all transfer business done and dusted and get focused for the season. We have a strong and deep squad. Exciting possibilities for this year.

Can't wait for Saturday. Gunners looking good. Imagine Wilshere and Sagna healthy. It appears Wenger finally has depth for the first time in years.

I'd rather guys like Chamakh and Arshavin just moved on, but that still gives us around 22-25 guys who can legitimately play for us. We'll need that depth.

So I kind of agree with the announcer who said "Arsenal seem to be trying to get the ball to Van Persie every time and Koln know this and are clamping down on him, slowing down the offense"

Sure will. A long season and we could go fairly deep in almost every competition.

I think we just stopped caring pretty much.
Our roster should be:
GKs: Szczesny, Fabianski, Mannone
RB: Sagna, Yennaris, Jenkinson
CB: TV5, Kos, Per, Djourou, Bartley?, Miquel?, Squid?
LB: Gibbs, Santos
CM: Arteta, Cazorla, Song, Coquelin, Ramsey, Diaby, Wilshere, Rosicky, Frimpong?
Wings: Walcott, Gervinho, AOC, Arshavin?, Poldi
ST: RvP?, Giroud, Poldi, Chamakh?
Big couple of weeks still ahead. There'll be some on their way out permanently, some loaned, and I'd imagine another couple brought in.

It all started when Vieira left.

We've sent a shitton of players to Barca. Overmars, Petit, van Brocnkhorst, Hleb, Henry, and Fabregas. It's interesting because we've never played a style all that similar to Barca. I mean, we both play along the carpet, but we've always been a little more direct.

What started? Us selling players? I think Wenger's guiding light in terms of selling players is simple economics. Sell players when clubs value them more than you value them. Hence why we've gotten good prices for nearly every player we've sold.

Us selling players and not replacing them with like quality and instead started towards a youth movement. I'm not saying nothing positive came out of it but it is also a big reason we haven't been winning trophies.
