So we played our starting lineup we featured the first few league matches. Our guys are going to need some rest soon.

Hot damn diaby's rampaging gallops up the middle of the pitch are fun to watch

I'll take the three wins in a row, but the team looked exhausted in the second half. Thought Bould should've brought on each of the subs about ten min earlier than when he did. On the other hand we did get the result so you can't be too critical. Also...watch out Szczesny?

Me too. Especially the 8 goal differential.

City's match was more taxing and we actually match up with them pretty well based upon results from last season.

Tuesday to Sunday rest period shouldn't be an issue for either squad. Can't wait.

Totally agree. Love that we got 3 points, but Santi and Diaby were clearly gassed by the 65th minute. I was yelling at the TV from that point on for us to make subs. Really infuriating we waited so long to make them. Nearly lost us this game and might cost us Sunday.

Saturday to Tuesday to Sunday could certainly be though. And Tuesday to Sunday is for a guy like Diaby...

We will see. We have given up one goal from run of play that was clearly the Pole's fault, the one today was a penalty. I like our chances on Sunday to get atleast a point.

Was just thinking that. I don't even really count the Southhampton goal as run of play, so it's been 5 games without any legitimate goals conceded. We're definitely going to need Wilshere and Rosicky back fit if we want to have the depth to compete in all 4 competitions this year

Agree 100%. Our mid field will be sick when both are healthy. The problenm is the health of the ones who are now healthy movng on. I'm loving Poldi and :gasp: Gervhino right now.

I will say, Man City would do a lot better than Montpellier did today if we play the same. They may have only had one really sure-fire, clear cut chance (the Belhanda shot right at Mannone), but were in some very dangerous positions. Particularly late in the second half their runs from the midfield were catching us out because of our fatigue. Unlike the first few games, this was not a comfortable defensive performance.

I think ya'll will beat City. They don't have me convinced this year. The squad/tactics seem unorganized. If ya'll play as organized and cohesive as ya'll did against Liverpool, I think ya'll will win.

We will play better in a league match. If we get a point I'll be very happy. The last three matches have us on an upward kick, theirs don't.

They lit us up in the preseason with their 3 man back line, but that hasn't really worked otherwise for them. Even though it was a strong lineup we fielded, it was the first game most of those guys played together. I'm just hoping for a draw. Win at the Etihad seems a bit too much to ask for.

Really hope Giroud isn't losing his confidence considering his slow acclimation. Overall, he wasn't great today, but his assist was an exquisite touch as well as his touch that put Poldi through on goal for another chance. We should play it on the ground to him more than we do.

He is Van Persie lite. Good touch, no finishing and lacking in aerial presence. He does possess a good vision though. If Poldi and Gervinho can continue finishing it is all good.

I wouldn't say he lacks aerial presence. He doesn't seem to win many headers outright, but the fact we have someone tall who can compete for them gives us an opportunity to win the second ball, which is probably more important for a team like us anyway. He doesn't seem to be a great athlete, but he is intelligent and tries to run past the CB's at every opportunity. I think many of us were expecting a target striker, when he's more like RvP, a complete forward who does a lot of little things well.

Thank you. I have been preaching that since the Stoke game. He has a decent first touch and is good with his feet. He is very good at flicking it on or playing one twos in and around the box. More balls played to him and the better the chance he can find the flow of game.

AEG for sale. They've been pushing the NFL to LA movement which Kroenke has been interested in as well. Wonder if he'd sell one of his assets to make a run there...
