This wouldn’t exactly be my lineup but I think it’s what Emery will go with. I think Elneny or Guendouzi starts alongside Xhaka since Torreira isn’t acclimated yet
If Ramsey isn’t fit (haven’t heard, but I think he is?) I’d put Mkhi in his spot

I don't think he's going to start both xhaka and toreira yet.
Could be iwobi out left and aub up top. Leave laca off. Would feel better about help on that left side.

our defense is suspect as last years..Sokratis is not the answer, dude looks like hes running in mud. if Bellarin, Mustafi, and Xhaka on the same side, City going to have a field day. offense on paper looks lethal though

Kind of excited to see how Guendouzi does. He's young but looked good in preseason. Hopefully he doesn't get blitzed, which is what City can do.

I can actually understand not starting Torreira, but where’s Leno?? Might as well throw him out there in the first game especially when we’ve been begging for a new keeper for years now.

I thought we were better as the half went on. We need more sharpness to finish the counters we create. Guendouzi and Xhaka have been a bit sloppy and haven't protected the back 4 enough.
