We need a huge overhaul but we won't get the funds. Kroenke doesn't care until it hits the bottom line enough.
We are Europa League level for the foreseeable future.

I hope Kroenke gets kicked in the crotch at his gay arse ranch and dies. What the frick is the point of a sugar-daddy if he won't give us any money to compete? We are just an asset to him. He doesn't understand the point of owning a team, which is to win and then rub it in other billionaires faces.

Just leaving that here. Honestly afraid to check my post history on those two clowns. And Mkhi’s give away today.
Europa or bust.

Arsenal is what happens when the rapids owner also owns a PL team

Yeah it sucks that he's content with us falling into the mid-table. We straight up need a miracle.

Xhaka pissed me off today. I wouldn't care if he was sold.
Can't believe how poor we've been financially with players.
The numerous guys we've wasted money on. The handful of decent players we let go on a free. It's really mind blowing when Arsenal has preached this better than thou when it comes to finances.

I’m good with anyone outside of Laca, Bellerin, Torreria, Leno, and Holding leaving

You wouldn’t keep Auba? Ozil?
Posted on 5/6/19 at 3:31 am to cwil177
Not if we already have Laca. If we’re short on funds there’s no need to have a surplus like that at a position. As for Ozil, they pay him how much? and his best game this year was against Leister City? He’s not even a full time starter.

If we sell them you know we aren’t getting better replacements. Look at who owns the club.
Posted on 5/6/19 at 8:17 am to braud2go
Also a great bit of Laca's production comes from Aubamayang. And the more you look at stats from this year the more ridiculous calling Auba surplus is. It's honestly absurd.

He misses an alarming amount of sitters.
Posted on 5/6/19 at 9:36 am to crazy4lsu
He still played a part in 33 goals this year.

Not trying to discount that at all, just commenting. He's a better finisher than Giroud, but he arguably misses just as many good chances.

That is what is worrying me. After today's game, I started thinking back to the squads Arsenal had when I first stared following them in 2010. It could be because I am just older and more cynical, but the current squad seems to be so much less talented. It's worrying how poor most of the team is. You start going through the roster and your realize why this team is struggling to finish 5th. How many guys can you even sell for much of anything?

We've lost every single ball carrier we had. And we used to be so good at carrying the ball. Diaby, Wilshere, Cazorla, Rosicky, Nasri, Ox, among many others. Iwobi is the only one who really dribbles and drives at players, and he's good until the final third, where he loses all sense of what decision he has to make. Mkhi is a passenger pretty much all the time. Ozil can't get invovled in Emery's system, as it seems to avoid the middle of the field.
Wenger's last couple of years really screwed us. He went wild trying to get who he wanted, but we missed out on so many other targets in the same price range. Then we sold players without finding like for like replacements, let players hold us hostage by running down their contracts, and now we have a weird hodgepodge of a team, with no character, no distinctive style, and no one driving the team forward except Lacazette.
I don't know if I can ever forgive the Mustafi buy. I have no idea how anyone could believe Chambers isn't already a better CB than Mustafi. Holding is already better by a significant margin. Xhaka is good for at least 10 brain-farts a season too.

That was a depressing read, but this sentence encouraged me a bit. I like Holding a lot. He will be a "new signing" next year at CB. I also really hope Chambers finally gets his chance back in the team.

Keep the forwards, we need runners in the midfield and Arsenal can get money from xhaka.

This is another thing. There are good players in England. For the life of me I don't know why Arsenal don't go after more guys like chambers or Holding.
