As if Liverpool needs help, these officials have sucked.

Emery actually seems like Arsene 2.0. I think I would rather have have kept the old sage. At least he gave an interesting interview.

All joking aside, that's the shite that happens when you have a new manager come in trying to rebuild a squad and style of play from the bottom up

We took our lumps when Klopp first started and that first season was a lot about just seeing who was fit and unfit to play in his system. Now he has adapted the system some to get the best out of some players, but I think the point still stands. A new manager needs time and multiple windows to get in his choice of players (not counting Sokratis and Lich)

as shitty as this result is, everyone needs to take a step back and chill.

look at what Liverpool has built with multiple windows to get the players they need for their system.

it even took pep, with Middle East frick you money, time to win.

I get it, it’s frustrating as frick. half of these dudes don’t belong on this team, but with that we rolled off an absurd unbeaten streak. we’re also injured and our depth is shite. we’re seeing a real-time transition from the old guard (Ozil and Ramsey, who both look like they are gone soon.)

give it time. get back into CL and get players in that Raul, Sven, and Unai rate.

I agree, I don't like some of the recent line ups, but we just don't have the players right now.

that 22 game undefeated streak was neat but i never believed this team was capable of being in top 5

not much talent, little depth, and aging squad. i dont see Kroenke ponying up alot of cash during transfer window and we wont get much back on anyone they decide to sell

this is not a liverpool 2.0 change like Klopp has done, unia has quite a hill to battle

who knows? we’ve had this back staff in place for very little time, but nothing in their pasts (Raul, Sven, Unai) leads me to believe they won’t have a structure and plan in place.

How many players in the starting 11 do we feel good about going forward long term?

I don’t think Laca is going to be here long term. Idk how much Emory trusts him. But I’m actually a fan of Leno.

Aaron Ramsey agreed to a 4 year deal with Juventus. So he’ll go there in the summer.

Great, no money from him. We've really done some bad deals.

I know he’s got his own system and I respect that.

But I have no idea why he sits Lacazette and does not play Laca, Auby, and Ozil up front.

Is Arsene’s aura so powerful that it lingers and affects managers who follow him?

Unai wants our front to high pressure and track back when needed - he doesn’t get that from Ozil and so he has to compensate through the midfield to cover.

We have no width in true playmakers and no creative deep lying midfielders so there isn’t anyone to link play if you played Laca and Auba together as two true strikers (why you see Auba deployed sometimes out on the left side) and Ozil together. You really miss someone like Santi in this team, who would be fantastic linking play to two central strikers.

Honestly if we had some form of wide, creative playmaker, and a deeper playmaking CM, I think you would 100% see both together deployed through the middle. But as it stands, the make-up of this team isn’t suited to do what he would like currently.

It’s going to take time, especially considering the previous regime let these high wage contracts get into deeper parts of their deals and we’re seeing assets walk for nothing.

Still, when it comes to Unai and the transition, believe guys like Neville, when it comes to a style and culture change:

Neville

So far, this is a trademark performance from a Stan Kroenke owned team. Complete lack of care. Maitland -Niles could not start for Millwall.

It is a stretch, I realize that, but I would love to see the Atlanta FC duo together in a Gunners kit. What they may lack in technical nous they more than make up for in effort. Arsenal has zero effort right now.

Xhaka with the first goal of the new year. You can tell some of these guys stayed up late last night.
