Is set to make his first cap for England.

Besides the fact that he is basically English white trash and probably a shite head in general... Do you think this could be the beginning of big things for him?

Having only seen him play a full match once, my impression of him was that he's a younger, less dirty version of Kevin Davies.

He's got a great skill set for a big striker. He's remarkably quick for his size, uses his body well, and can get up to head in goals.

He hasn't taken over a match or anything, but as far as what England has at their disposal, he's one of the better options they've got.

He's as lethal as it gets close to goal. I haven't seen that much from him in open space, but I also haven't seen that many Newcastle games.

Also, I don't think Newcastle's relegation could have happened at a better time for him. He rarely had any PT two years ago as a 19-20 year old because Owen and Martins were in front of him and the team was in a relegation fight. But both of them departed at the end of that season and he became their #1 with a season to hone his craft in the Championship before facing top-flight competition.

He has to live with his teammate Kevin Nolan as part of a judge's ruling on one of his assault cases.

He has a Sergio Busquets face that needs a good cold cocking from Lee Bowyer.

Is being lauded by none other than Joey Barton for the call-up.

Barton says that England shouldn't be picking all nice guys for the squad.

JOEY MOTHERFRICKING BARTON!!!

Joey Barton probably deserves an England call-up as well. He's played extremely well on the left for Newcastle and has yet to put out a cigar in a kid's eye this season.

I agree. He would bring some needed swagger to the English side.

The season is still young. Plenty of time for Barton to be Barton.
