This is the worst part. I think most of them couldn't name a Beatles song. Some of them probably don't even recognize the names John, Paul, George, and Richard Starkey.

How long have you been in? My best friend was a PCV in Bulgaria from 07-09. Some of the stories he tells me are hilarious, like trying to teach kids how to play American football or depressing like eating white bread tomato and the Bulgarian equivalent of kraft singles for dinner most nights.

I've been here since March.
I try teaching kids American football. I'm always amused about which rules make sense to Ukrainians and which are completely lost upon them...e.g. the incomplete pass.
And yeah, Eastern European cheese is disgusting. We need to get some French, or Dutch or even American cheese-makers here to introduce some cheddar in these grim parts.
