Playing good defensively doesn't mean they played like shite. It wasn't flashy attacking soccer but it wasn't shite.
Schweinsteiger once he came on completely dictated the match and settled everyone down.
Schneiderlin was once again brilliant.

I didn't see the first twenty minutes but this was not true at all the last 70. Villa were on top for large parts of the game until they got tired and the game just kind of died the last 20 min.
I didn't see United create a single chance outside of Mata's beauty through ball to Depay that he blew.
I certainly wouldn't say United "played like shite" but it was hardly convincing. That said, 6 points out of 6 is the only thing that matters.

More possession and more shots. Id say Villa did a good job log jamming United and keeping us from getting in a rhythm.
