And unsurprisingly, Cincy does not score the first goal in their new stadium.

Potential Brek Shea goal disallowed because Gonzalo Higuain was laying on the goal line in an offside position and the shot hit him before going in.

Gonzalo looks like he’s running in sand

The old folks home is missing two residents.

Cincy's defense is so fricking bad, even after adding Cameron. 2 defenders are marking a player that's lying on the ground injured while the Higuain brothers are wide arse open on the far side.

Acosta and Barreal on this team remind me of the shitty early Beckham era Galaxy

DC United fans going full trash mode throwing beer cans on the field at the end of the match. DCU tried to flop for a penalty in the 96’ but thankfully the red carded them for simulation.

DeAndre Yedlin has joined the ownership group of San Diego Loyal.

Holy shite that was a nasty challenge. I don't think I've seen a quicker decision to give a red.

My girlfriend (who could care less about soccer) is sitting next to me, and I was looking at my phone and she yelled "oh my God".
And of course Twellman is bringing up Williamson's concussion test just minutes before the challenge.

frick Pro and frick MLS. Suspending Nani is bullshite. Orlando keeps getting shite on by MLS.

Don't grab the ref and you won't get suspended.

Watke is a guy who does USMNT comps who has started doing some dry humor type “tactical analysis” and it’s pretty funny. He clowns on Cincinnati in this one

I wound up going to the Timbers game today. Enjoyed it far more than I expected to. Might make it to a few more instead of selling them to touts as I usually do.

Oy, mates - just relaxin’ in the car park near our home ground, innit? Still feelin’ proper chuffed from City’s season. And just maybe I’m sayin’ a little prayer here, hopin’ to conjure some Championship vibes from me Premier side to me Timbers.

That nasty challenge on Andy Polo did some real damage. From MLS website:
quote:
Portland Timbers and Peru national team midfielder Andy Polo will miss the remainder of the 2021 MLS regular season with a ruptured quadriceps muscle and a torn meniscus in his left leg, the club announced Tuesday. He will undergo surgery on Wednesday.

It was really horrific. I’m surprised the damage wasn’t worse. I would have sworn based on watching it that he ruptured multiple ligaments in his knee.
