Lennon seems like a long term Gressel back up plan (if they can’t sort out a new deal).

At what point can we be certain Barco will play with us in 2020? My kid loves Barco and I would like to get him a Jersey for Christmas but I'd be mad if he bailed after New Years

CCL draw was last night. We drew Honduran club Motagua in round 1. If we win, we will most likely play Club America in round 2.

Just got an email from Legion that we've got a pre-season friendly vs Atlanta United IN Birmingham! That's going to be fantastic.

So, according to Paul Tenorio and Sam Stejskl at The Athletic, AUFC is "actively looking to move both Hector 'Tito' Villalba and center back Leandro Gonzalez Perez in the winter transfer window" as well as "now re-evaluating their stance" to "move Julian Gressel".
The article also states that the final purchase of Hyndman has AUFC paying him salaries of $800K, $900K, and $999,999 over the next three years.
And they paid $300K in combined allocation money to get Brooks Lennon.
But, golly, they just can't seem to afford any more than $133K for our second best player, Julian Gressel, right?
Prediction: Two years from now there will be no more South American players on this squad and AUFC will be boring as frick.

They can afford more than that and they have offered him more than that. Gressel is apparently asking for too much and the club isn't comfortable paying him that much without knowing exactly what will be in the new CBA.

Makes too much money to not be a starter. I think both parties are eager for a change.

center back Leandro Gonzalez Perez
Too much of a wildcard.

So who do you think we're going to sell Josef to? And Spector has already said that they are looking at several South Americans.

Josef with a bunch of boring players won’t make for good soccer.
It’s worrisome that we could be shifting styles from what built the franchise it’s hot start.
If AtL isn’t winning the attendance will look like the fire

Europe must have annexed Paraguay

Villasanti, 22, is a defensive-minded central midfielder who recently became a full international for the Paraguayan national team. Villasanti was a staple in Cerro Porteño’s 2019 team that finished third in the most recent Clausura and second in the Apertura, making 31 starts and 36 total appearances. It’s an impressive breakout season for the midfielder after having spent 2018 on loan, getting regular top flight minutes for the first time in his young career at Sportivo Luqueño.

LGP to Tijuana seems to be official.
Sounds like we're close to finalizing Villasanti.

Sheesh in 2 seasons we're going to have cleared out almost every fan favorite besides Josef

Yep and the winning percent will decrease followed by attendance as we shift our roster to play mls ball

You think a team that is boring to watch will hold up attendance like the last 3 united teams? If we start losing it will be an empty MBS

To be fair the first two years were extremely fast paced and the type of exciting soccer to watch. It’s going to be an adjustment if we move away from our Latin American flair which it appears we are. We are selling almost all of our young Latin stars.
IMO it’s much like football, offense and fast pace are what gets people to games. I don’t think you will see sell outs and record crowds if we move to a slower pace or we start to lose.

We haven't even brought in Europeans to replace the South Americans. The only European we brought in is Pereira, and we got him for extremely cheap. We only paid him $56k in 2019.

Aron Hyde goal keeper coach has left Atlanta United for the same job with the USMNT.

Reports out of Paraguay are saying everything is agreed on for Villasanti. All that remains is a medical and signatures.
