€40 mil isn’t a bad price for him, imo.

Daley Blind to Ajax is official

Liverpool have supposedly bid €70 mil for Alisson

If they get him, I never want to hear another word about City’s transfers driving up the price of players again. This would be a CB and GK for a combined £120-130ish million combined.

Completely insane.

Any chance city plays anyone decent against Bayern in Miami in the 28th?

Taking my oldest and hoping it’s not just a bunch of kids.

I would expect Ilkay, Laporte, Sane, Mahrez, and Bravo/Ederson to play for sure. Probably Bernardo Silva, too.

I think the gripe is that city just splash oil money (and spend more than everyone else). Liverpool has made a lot more than city through selling players recently. Why shouldn’t we pay a high price for a top 5 in the world at his position player when we’ve made a fortune by selling our best player at the time. City doesn’t have to sell because they have what’s essentially an infinite financial resource

City have never splashed more than £60ish mil on a single player and it just happened with Mahrez.

My gripe isn’t the amount Liverpool is spending as a whole. Spend away, but people have bitched about City ‘driving up’ prices for players yet United and Liverpool are the only ones laying £70 mil or more for players. VVD, Alisson, Lukaku, Pogba, etc.

Idc if clubs spend money, it just irks me that City get some kind of reputation for ruining the market when the aren’t even the ones breaking the bank for players.

If Alisson is sold for €70 mil, that is almost twice what City paid for Ederson and he is the most expensive keeper of all-time at £35 mil.

I think Pep spending over half a billion in his 18 months at City has something to do with it

For €35m? Not bad.

After all transactions added and subtracted...

Liverpool made £10 mil in the Summer and winter windows for 16/17 and 17/18.

Citey spent £358 mil in those same windows.

Please don’t compare the two. It’s disingenuous.

By the way calling out Liverpool and saying they are driving up the price of defenders because they paid £71 mil for VVD is really rich being Citey has spent £50 EACH on 4 DEFENDERS in the same timeframe.

If anything VVD’s price was so high because of what those went for.
