I think he has to be our first option. Ideally, Marseille could have closed the deal for Beauvue, but Lacazette convinced him to go to Lyon at the last minute.

I think saying he didn't work out in England is dumb. He didn't work out at Chelsea, and probably only because they wouldn't give him a chance to succeed at the club. He got all of 3 appearances.

3 league games 9 total.

I really don't even see where he fits in this City team. He's a classic CAM. Especially if you move Silva to that role to keep Nasiri and Sterling on the wing especially to accommodate Sterling. He's not moving back to England to ride the bench again.

Don't care at this point. I don't want KDB, I need him.

He stil has dreads too, right? If he does then that's a given. Predator's always outshine the non-elite haired individuals. This is exactly where Lukaku went wrong.

I don't disagree. I see him as a Nasri replacement. I don't know what City sees him as though. I have a skewed view though because the few times I've watched de Bruyne he's been uninspiring.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nasri in transfer discussions if de Bruyne is signed though.

If he replaced Nasri on the wing it would be an awful choice.

Silva-de Bruyne-Sterling

There are obviously ways to make it work.

don't forget about Yaya as well b/c he basically has to play in a more advance role bc he is a liability playing box to box or in a holding role.

No kidding. Please understand I don't want de Bruyne. I just see was to make it work, but someone has to go.

City are obsessed with playing CAMs in as many AM roles as possible. So I can see them going for him, but I think it's terrible team building. The only player I want City to sign is Pogba. I don't care what money they have to pay. I don't care what ridicule it brings them to make it happen. He's the type of player they need to bring in to make these formations work. Just like Sterling was in my opinion. De Bruyne is not.

I really don't want De Bruyne to go to City. He thrives in the middle of the field where David Silva plays. I don't see that working at all. Plus, I am a huge fan of De Bruyne, and City is starting to have too many of my favorite players.

If city brings in KDb, the Silva to Juve rumors would make more sense.

I could see De Bruyne being at City for one year with Silva and them maybe saying he'll be like a better James Milner, play wherever we need you to and we'll be sure to get you as many opportunities as possible. Injuries, especially with Nasri and Toure have become a foregone conclusion. The opportunities for MF's in this team are there.

If it happened then I think Silva is likely out next year with that CAM role handed to De Bruyne. Of course this is all from my head and I don't think De Bruyne would take that unless the wages were a substantial amount.

Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado is being tracked by Serie A champions Juventus, claim reports in Italy.

The Old Lady are searching for an attacking midfielder and see Cuadrado as an ideal fit for their squad.

The 27-year-old still has four years left on his contract in west London but is keen to make a swift return to Serie A.

I don't think this has been in here, so these are the transfers for Houston Dynamo in this window so far:

Mauro Manotas - 20 yo Columbian striker who got some time with the Col U-20s. Scored 5 goals in Columbian top flight.
Rasheed Olabiyi - 24yo Nigeria midfielder. He's only played in the Nigerian Primier League but has made Best XI in that league and has won several titles/cups while with them. He has represented Nigeria at U17, U20, and U23 levels.
John McGinn(?) - 20 yo Scottish midfielder. Not sure if he's signed yet, but he's currently training with the team in Houston. He's coming over from St. Mirren (4 goals in 87 apps) in the SPFL. He was the guy who injured last season after a teammate threw a pole at him as a prank.

New manager and GM seem to be setting up to get younger and replace some of the older midfielders. Rico Clark, Boniek, and Davis all over 30.

More Chelsea news. They are the major suitors for Axel Witsel now that Milan have dropped out over Zenit's transfer demands.

Apparently Roman flew to Russia to talk him into coming to Chelsea.
