Probably a good hire, but doesn't matter who they hire if the club doesn't change its spending philosophy.

Looks like Chelsea will loan Mario Van Ginkel to Newcastle for next season.

Yeah, the club is saying they are going to spend big this summer but I'll believe it when I see it

That's a good price. I think Arsenal should add 5 mil and make it a deal

According to Spanish State television RTVE, Iker Casillas will leave Real Madrid this summer ahead of the arrival of David de Gea. The news that was announced this afternoon (Wednesday) stated that the Madrid captain has chosen to leave the team because he does not want to be a problem for the club as, according to the channel, De Gea will sign in the coming days and will be presented “in the middle” of next week.
Madrid want to provide Casillas with an exit that is commensurate with his history at the club and they have guaranteed him that there will be no economic problems, according to TVE1. The player and the club are aligned in the same direction – they are working on a consensual goodbye.
The journalist David Alonso, speaking on SER Deportivos, also revealed the Real Madrid goalkeeper’s intention: “Casillas is closer to leaving than to staying.”
According to the reports, Casillas has up to ten offers from various teams and, right now, the most important one, from an economic perspective, comes from Turkish side Fenerbahce. His intention is to stay in Europe.
There have been doubts and rumours about the departure of the goalkeeper in recent months, but the player himself wanted to deny them after meeting with the club and clarifying his future.
“I am sure that I will continue, I see myself well and strong,” he said on El Larguero on May 27. However, it seems that his future with the Real Madrid armband is once again unclear.
Casillas would wave goodbye to Madrid with three Champions League titles, five Liga titles and two Copas del Rey, among other titles.

Yeah, for the price he's a great buy. Solid tackler and smooth passer that can work with a variety of other midfielders.
He hasn't quite fulfilled the expectations of two seasons back when he seemed to be really ready to breakout but he's still young.
On another note, the best defensive/box to box midfielder that will move this window in Serie A is Allan from Udinese. He's going to make a real difference wherever he ends up. I really wish that Roma had the extra cash to splash on him since there's questions about Strootman.
Edit:
Probably not the best way to welcome Obiang:

25 million euro is hilariously low. The euro isn't worth shite anymore and DDG cost 18 million pounds.

Your exaggeration duly noted and set aside, Sterling´s gone up about 12% vs. the Euro since then (he was bought in 2013, wasn´t he?).
Anyway, at today´s conversion, that´s tit for tat (£18M today is about €25M). You´re right, there´s going to be some negotiating.

Simeone and Tévez, two peas in a pod.
This probably means that Griezmann may be gone.
