Lol you're kidding right? We're getting the reigning footballer of the year in the Bundesliga, who is only 24, to replace an 'Average' at best RW. This move makes City's front line even more deadly. De Bruyne isn't on level pegging with Hazard, but he isn't far behind him.

He's been real bad for Wolfsburg this year. Now you may say the transfer speculation has gotten into his head and he will rebound at City, but he can't even hit an open net at this point.

Yup, just like Sterling has just been a track star.

If you mean by goals, sure. But he will be a huge upgrade over Navas. He will widen the field ever more than we already are thanks to Sterling and will create more overall chances for Aguero.

Keep saying Sterling is a track star. I could care less. Yes he has a ton of pace, but he's been a vital reason for our offensive success thus far.

that's just ridiculous... he's very good... I'm sure he'll shine this season, playing with the class of players like we had in attack in 13/14

our stupid manager just decided to play him as a #9 and at RB last season, no wonder he wanted out...

No I'm not. The Bundesliga isn't the Premiere league and he won't even be playing his best position. You seen this Chelsea team play? Yea de Bruyne couldn't even get into the team.

He's definitely not going to "widen the field" even more. Nobody will be afraid of him going down the wing, he's slow. He'll be an upgrade in the sense he will score more than Navas but teams will be able to pack it in easier down the middle making less space for Aguero and Silva.

What Randy is saying is KDB doesn't have the chest for the Premiere League.

He is no where close to a 58 million pound player, he might end up like DiMaria all over again but stick around an exra year or two bc its reported he will be on 200k a week.

Yes, his finishing needs working... but his pace, strength, work rate and tactical awareness are all excellent and he's only 20... if you don't think his presence on the left flank has not contributed to City's good start, well I don't know what to say...

Is he worth what they paid? not in my opinion (today at least) and it was a no-brainer for us to sell him... I don't think he'll ever be the main man, but he doesn't need to be there...

De Bruyne? I said a couple of weeks ago I don't see all the fuss when watching him... IMO he's not a natural wide player... he likes to drift centrally and that is where Silva is dangerous..

But, if they can afford it... more power to them... I think they may be widening the gap of quality talent in the pre...

I agree

he is more lethal when playing in the middle and loves to drift to the middle when playing on the right and could be a liability defensively.

I don't know if they eventually have plans to drop him deeper, maybe as a yaya replacement??

I know Pellegrini really liked the 4-2-2-2 at times... maybe have sterling play off Aguero?? I dunno... would love to have that problem..

him as a box to box is asking for trouble

I feel like a lot of City fans in general not talking about this board who are excited about him don't watch the Bundesliga.

Draxler needs to regain his pre injury form but that's a good replacement.

Bayern told Schalke they can have Højbjerg on loan if Draxler leaves.

Knew Dante was gone, he's a loveable guy but he's lost it a bit.

Yeah fricking Wednesday can suck my dick for £10m. No way we sell him that cheap in our own league.

There's nothing wrong with KDB drifting centrally. Silva doesn't stay in one spot. They can move. Silva and Nasri work well together even though they both operate in similar space. You don't need KDB to offer width. Actually using the overlapping fullback, which Navas doesn't do, creates width while KDB can drift inside. Plus Silva won't play every game.

I would have preferred a natural box to box or DLP to replace Yaya in games, but I easily see ways KDB fits into the team. Pretending like he won't is just wishful thinking.
