Kevin De Bruyne will complete his move to Manchester City by Saturday, according to Wolfsburg's director of sport Klaus Allofs.

Sky Sports News HQ reported earlier on Friday that a general agreement was in place between the Premier League and Bundesliga clubs for the 24-year-old midfielder.

However, despite the transfer seeming to be close to completion during the last few days, negotiations over minor details in the contract had been described as 'protracted'.

Schalke has a lot of CM talent though. Apparently Højbjerg is behind Kimmich. I think everyone would prefer Pep to stop playing Xabi Alonso so often though.

Eurotrash All-Star Kevin Kampl to Bayer Leverkusen from BVB. Good player but didn't really last long at BVB. Could be a good pickup.

Hearing Van La Parra will sign from Wolves soon. He's the quick winger people have been demanding. #lufc

While I think that's an outrageous sum for a player who arguably won't make your starting XI any better, got to tip the hat to Man City for doing what it takes to get what they want.

I agree. They spent a few years trying to find value in the transfer market, and it left them with a ton of money spent on squad players and players that weren't good enough.

Meh. The year on restriction they spent 42 on Mangala. I'm talking about all the money they wasted to get into that FFP position. There were numerous times when they wouldn't meet valuations or pay the requisite agent fees to get the players they should have bought. They should have just been identifying who they want and paying what it took. They would have been better off for it.

Transfer news - Leeds have tonight agreed a deal for Excelsior winger Jordan Botaka. #lufc

foreign players are a gamble but if there's one position i don't mind taking gambles it's with wingers.

Lol you're kidding right? We're getting the reigning footballer of the year in the Bundesliga, who is only 24, to replace an 'Average' at best RW. This move makes City's front line even more deadly. De Bruyne isn't on level pegging with Hazard, but he isn't far behind him.

He's been real bad for Wolfsburg this year. Now you may say the transfer speculation has gotten into his head and he will rebound at City, but he can't even hit an open net at this point.

Yup, just like Sterling has just been a track star.

If you mean by goals, sure. But he will be a huge upgrade over Navas. He will widen the field ever more than we already are thanks to Sterling and will create more overall chances for Aguero.

Keep saying Sterling is a track star. I could care less. Yes he has a ton of pace, but he's been a vital reason for our offensive success thus far.

that's just ridiculous... he's very good... I'm sure he'll shine this season, playing with the class of players like we had in attack in 13/14

our stupid manager just decided to play him as a #9 and at RB last season, no wonder he wanted out...

No I'm not. The Bundesliga isn't the Premiere league and he won't even be playing his best position. You seen this Chelsea team play? Yea de Bruyne couldn't even get into the team.

He's definitely not going to "widen the field" even more. Nobody will be afraid of him going down the wing, he's slow. He'll be an upgrade in the sense he will score more than Navas but teams will be able to pack it in easier down the middle making less space for Aguero and Silva.
