I do. But that doesn't mean that you let ~21mil walk away because you have other money and want to prove a point. You're one of the top 3 biggest clubs in the world, you shouldn't have to prove points.

Basically breaking even on a player who is worth more is worth holding on to him and not selling him. Especially if he is the difference in bringing in more tv money.

Um what thats exactly why we refuse to be bullied. The other top clubs do the same.

You're assuming that his level of play won't dip while playing for a club he doesn't want to be a part of

Its called being a professional

a giant dip in form and doing it on purpose is stupid on so many levels.

B/c it would affect his contract value and national team call ups

This is timestamped about 30 minutes ago... Would be really exciting move if true.

I'm not implying he'll be doing it on purpose. I'm saying his head obviously isn't clear and if he's playing without 100% focus then his performance will most certainly see a dip. Either way, I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

thus a dip in form will cost him money regardless of club and will cost him national team call ups as the #1

so he better get his head in the right place

I just find it funny that SCH talks about how bad City's transfer policies are, yet thinks it's totally reasonable to let a player walk away for free than sell him for something.

you post some of the dumbest shite on here sometimes

From a finical stand point if Madrid are only offering 15-20 million and United could make more than that this year in revenue by keeping DDG as the GK to contribute to a good season. Then you keep him and maybe change his mind.

Madrid's offers are insulting for a world class gk

Not to mention if you show clubs you aren't gonna stand firm on your valuations do players people will take advantage. This could cost you way more than 20m over time. If everytime you do business people use that to either give you 5m less or ask 5m more you will quickly lose that war. It's not just about DDG, but rather showing other top clubs must continue to match United's valuations of players under contract and not turning in transfer requests.

For less than a year. You act like PSG signed Rooney or Ronaldo from United.

You do realize that Neuer was better than De Gea is now when he was bought by Bayern for just 24 mil pounds.

An offer of 21.2 for De Gea (assuming that is the final offer) is not insulting.

and that was 4 years ago and transfer fees have gone up. 30-35 million pounds is a fair price.
