Real Madrid vet Alvaro Arbelo has 2 MLS offers. Lookin for a change of scenery.

This is probably his best move with the addition of Danilo. He is stills serviceable and should be able to do well in MLS I'd think.

I mean I'd still like him in the RB rotation for Madrid, but its obvious he is behind Danilo and Carvajal.....I'm just not sure when he plays.

So ManU is going to let their stubbornness cost them millions?

not really bc Madrid is offering less than what we paid for DDG years ago yet his stock has gone up.

On an own goal . United didn't look very good at all, but the 3 points is really all that matters. Nonetheless, ManU has screwed the pooch on this whole DDG saga and I believe it has far deeper roots than "he was benched for only one game".

So we're just supposed to take what we can get while we can get it?

Nah

We don't need the money. We're Manchester United. We've sold plenty of players to Madrid and we're standing our ground now. Madrid gets to bully a lot of clubs and they have done that to us in the past. LvG is putting an end to that and I love it.

He's top 3 in the world no doubt and we should expect to get compensated appropriately. He's only going to tarnish his name with the fans if he handles this improperly.

Didn't you guys buy him at 19 mil pounds from Atleti?

I read this morning that Madrid offered 21.2 mil and ManU wants 25. If it doesn't get done at 21.2 I'm perfectly fine waiting for him on a free transfer and taking my chances with Navas and Casilla this year.

18 million when we bought him

most everything I saw was Madrid offering around 15 million

LvG said they are not offering enough and hes right.

Fair enough. But, IMO, that money could be put to far better use than proving a point to a "bully" club.

If that's the case and the tweet this morning (bleacher report so grain of salt is necessary) was right about Madrid tabling a final offer of 21.2...I feel that it may get done.

If it doesn't I see ManU's sides stance and can't argue with it....but you have to understand that Madrid thinks they have LvG by the short hairs on this one (and its pretty much right)....if he doesn't give a shite to let him De Gea walk on a free then we will take it.

United keeping him could make more money on a successful season than what Madrid is offering. Better season means more tv money.

No way to tell what that amount is though either way. I mean you can't sit here and say that Romero absolutely couldn't get you the same number of points that De Gea does right?

Although to your point not everyone is going to give you one like those "lads" last weekend did ....yea yea yea I know Rooney would have buried it anyway.

De Gea saved our asses numerous times last season. I honestly think we would have been a few places lower without him. I think most would agree too.

Well obviously a GK for the future once DDG leaves. And a good, young CB. Smalling has made great strides but I'm not completely sold on Phil Jones (although Rojo could prove to be a sufficient option).

We can upgrade those positions with or without DDG money, though.

Easy to say when it's not your money being spent for sure. I'm just saying, the money from DDG sale would be a nice way to offset the cost of filling those needs.

Do you realize how much organic revenue United bring in?
