Toronto FC announced Friday that the club has signed American international forward Hérculez Gómez. Prior to signing, the club acquired the right of first refusal from Sporting Kansas City in exchange for allocation money. As per club and league policy, terms of both deals were not disclosed. He will be added to the roster upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and Canadian work permit.

Louis van Gaal claims Real Madrid are refusing to offer a realistic fee for unsettled Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
United begin their Premier League campaign at home to Tottenham on Saturday but De Gea has been left out of the squad because he has been unsettled by talk of a move to Madrid, according to Van Gaal.
When asked if Real Madrid had matched their valuation of De Gea, Van Gaal said: "No, I don't think so.

What does that even mean and why is it important enough to miss the opener?

You don't want someone between the pipes if their mentality isn't fully on their current team. It makes sense, but only if De Gea has shown signs of that being the case. Otherwise it's fricking stupid.

City have reportedly offered £40 mil for De Bruyne and then an additional £5 mil in add ons.
Doubt it gets done for that, I think it will be closer to £50 but who knows.

The Guardian is reporting that City's offer for KDB is actually £47 mil and that the fee is likely to be accepted. Multiple news sites are also saying that City have also already scheduled De Bruyne's medical even though the fee is yet to be officially accepted.
Hopefully it can be wrapped up before the Chelsea match.
Oh, and City apparently submitted a £70 mil bid to Madrid for Benzema. Im pretty sure that isn't happening lol.
ETA: Apparently City initially bid £39.5 mil for the player which was rejected and was told the magic number is between £46-£49 mil.
