Like I said, I love the guy and totally get the value he can bring to a team but when you're talking about a comp like CL knockout rounds where one or two moments make all the difference it's a lot to ask a player like that to play that many big games and not have one of those moments.
He has very quickly gone from hero to goat one more than one huge stage.

The one thing that gives me the most pause is can Kevin Trapp be that guy for you at keeper when you're in those latter stages going up against world class attackers and into places like the Nou Camp or Stanford Bridge. The club obviously thinks he has the talent to do so but with a guy like that you don't really know until they are in that situation and to trust him as your #1 keeper with little to no experience is a risky move.

How many of those games did he start?
Man, you're the only person out there saying United didn't give di Maria a chance. He started nearly every game before he threw a tantrum and got his red card vs. Arsenal. Afterwards, his starting opportunities were more limited, but he still played in nearly every match. Not only did he get his chances last season, the manager is on record saying he wanted him back for this season and had factored him as a big part of his plans. We were being patient and giving him every chance to come good. We helped him along through his first season in hopes he would catch stride and fully adapt in his second season. His playing time was geared toward his long-term position in the team, with the idea that he needed some time to adapt.
Di Maria wanted to go for his own reasons, and he resorted to unprofessional antics to try to force a move through. He has his personal reasons for wanting to leave, and I get it. He doesn't like the weather, the food, the culture, his house got broken into, etc. However, he's a professional on a huge contract. He needed to act like one.
Just stop trying to justify his behavior. City fans aren't out there defending Sterling. In the end, he's used unprofessional tactics to get his move, and it seems it's worked. Just be happy you got what you wanted. You don't have to defend him.

Thought I was going to catch up on 3 pages of transfer news, but instead, I get another SCH vs DS debacle.

Its pretty clear he has no idea what hes talking about if he thinks Rooney has never produced to the level DiMaria has at the highest level.
It shows hes been watching soccer for about 3 years or just pretends too.

The board would lose a solid 30% of its activity if this occurred.
I actually quite enjoy it
