Federico Viviani
He's the really exciting player of those you mention.
Viviani is one of the prospects from Roma's excellent youth ranks that's definitely ready for a step up. He's been a regular for all Italy's youth NTs and usually one of the handful people always mention as a next generation full NT player.
He's a box to box, defensively solid midfielder that's often compared to De Rossi but, so far, he's played a bit less as a straight up--protect the back 4--defensive midfielder.
Viviani made some first team appearances for Roma bouncing back and forth from the Primavera squad in 2012 and spent last year on loan to Latina.
He was excellent for them as they had kind of a "miracle" run in their first ever season in Serie B and came withing losing a playoff tie of getting promoted to Serie A.
I think a move to Leeds though could be a loan deal but I don't know since Roma's midfield is already super crowded and there's also 4 other very highly considered young players in line and Roma also just bought Ucan from Fenerbache as well.

Daniele Cacia
He's 30yo and a pretty standard Italian poacher type striker with a decent if not spectacular array of skills. The Italian type striker that seems to "develop" into a bigger threat in his late 20s after bouncing around the lower leagues. He had a couple of excellent seasons in Serie B but didn't see much action behind Luca Toni in Serie A this year.
I don't really know much about the younger GK from Chievo / Cagliari, Marco Silvestri aside from that he played a bit for the U-21 NT a couple of years back.

no kidding. markovic is pricey too. rumors in the 25m range. i'm curious how you'll have funds to buy defensive players without selling suarez...two 25m wingers, 10m on 2 strikers. still need a DM, a fullback, and a centerback or two.

I said earlier in this thread that I had resigned myself to him leaving, pre bite... I agree, if we get Sanchez I'll be stoked and think we can kick on and be just fine...
I really don't know what all this means to the market it on him now though... I would hate to sell him cut rate, and think its maybe best to let him play, hopefully do what he did this year and sell him next year...
But I can totally understand if FSG decide he isn't worth the headaches and sell him at a somewhat deflated price...

Damn I'm glad we missed on him and got Ozil instead. Also I would be annoyed if Sanchez goes to 'Pool and goes wild playing like he did in Italy.

I think Sanchez allows us to play the 4-3-3 instead of the diamond and would allow Studge to be the undisputed main CF...
Obviously, losing Luis would be a blow, but just trying to look at a silver lining... addition through subtraction... yada yada

Do you think Origi, and Markovic are going to happen?
Posted on 6/27/14 at 2:54 pm to Meursault
I'm a little skeptical on Markovic due to the price tag... or maybe it just wishful thinking in hopes that money will go towards Sanchez... I can't see both..
He's a helluva young talent though...

Yea but you will probably have to lower your price. Who has Liverpool sold so far its just been buy buy buy. Clearly selling him would offset most or all of your buys

quote:I'm sure, but since it's Barca and Madrid, we should still get a decent fee since they can afford it. I think a lot of people were expecting us to spend a net of 60m anyway so I don't think we're looking for him to completely negate all of our buys. And that doesn't include us potentially selling Aspas, and some of the aging or younger players.

Or if Sanchez is included in the Suarez deal. I thin Pool will be just fine with both the CL and TV money. They should have plenty to spend and not run afoul of FFP.
Posted on 6/27/14 at 3:28 pm to crazy4lsu
yeah, I'm not worried about our spending... FSG are big proponents of FFP...
I think we wanted to get our targets in early this summer, I totally expect a few to be sold before the deadline...

Another year of similar losses and your facing sanctions

I'm not concerned, they know what they're doing...
Y'all have spent more than us and have sold no one...
