Lukaku´s going in there with an undergrad degree from a ´meh´ state school, and he´ll come out of there with an Ivy league PhD.

LOL so Atleti gets 30 something million and a better player for free? Good God I didn't know it was possible to bend over far enough to get raped that hard. But hey, we got Tiago! FML

Why? Playing in a league where it is harder to score and on teams that offer much less support he has scored 5 less goals than Costa in the last two years. This while being an 18-20 year old kid vs. Costa in his prime of his career. He can't stop scoring for Belgium either.

Costa was the setup man for Falcao. Come on, you should be better than this...

Lukaku could well end up being better than Costa down the road a couple of years as he has all the tools however he's really raw in comparison right now.

Costa's a much more polished product which you see in his build up play, runs off the ball etc. . .

Right now, Lukaku is going to score goals like, say, Destro for Roma but watching players this young day in day out there's a lot of improvement to be made in every other aspect.

And Lukaku was banging in goals for West freaking Brom as a 19 year old.

With all the attention on Falcao Costa couldn't do better than 10 goals? He's overrated as shite based on one good season and Atletico bent us over and rammed it in hard on us.

Lukaku probably wouldn't sprint off the field 9 min. into a CL final either.

I think Costa showed a hell of a lot of guts with that injury just to step foot on the field at all. Also risked his World Cup chances in the process.

You serious? He either...

1. Cost his team a sub knowing he couldn't play which was selfish and stupid.

2. Could have kept playing and didn't. I mean seriously if you can sprint full speed off the field then you should be able to stay on the field and try to gut it out a little longer.

Though his value to the team was shown since they did just fine without him vs. Barca in the title decider and Real in the final. He was also a worthless sack of donkey shite in the semis.

That was a coaching decision. The staff knew the extent of his injury (hell, the general public knew all about it.) However, they were willing to take that chance based on his value to the team, even though he was an extreme long shot.

I get that you don't like him. But I was impressed he tried to play at all. Maybe he had too much faith in the horse placenta therapy.

Looks like Villa's only allowing Lambo to bring people in off free transfers.

Terry Butcher's been sacked by Hibs.

Horse placenta must have worked pretty well he was running very well as he came off the pitch.

Also, the whole risking his World Cup chances are overblown in his case. I guarantee club, i.e. money, is a much bigger motivator for him than playing in a WC for a country he doesn't even have an attachment to other than the fact it's where he makes his money.

Maybe he'll represent England in 2018.
