They wouldn't be loaning him to Spurs. Dempsey couldn't get on the pitch, so I don't think Green would be getting better on their bench.

I know they're not going to loan him but I'd rather they did. Dempsey and Green aren't really comparable in that they play two different positions and Green has way more upside than Dempsey. He's not better yet but probably will one day.

Yeah, I don't really see how someone buying him has a lot to do with whether he's ready to play in a WC for a side looking to get through a tough group.
That he's a good prospect has never been in doubt and why he got the roster spot to keep him from choosing Germany if he explodes.
However, almost all big clubs have a handful kids that have gone for similar prices bouncing around in their systems. Some make it, some don't.

lukaku scores goals, which i guess means everything else doesn't matter, but there are a lot of matches where he doesn't look good. he's still pretty unpolished in a lot of areas. that said, i'd bank on him to fill out the all around portion of his game, especially when he gets goals.

Hasn't Mourinho traditionally favored experience over youth?? I mean, even Jese and Morata saw more playing time for RM under Ancelotti... That Inter squad was old too....

To an extent, but I don't think he gives a shite if you can do what he wants you to. It didn't take him too long to incorporate Varane. Wrt the other young players, he was constantly feuding with everyone involved with the Real Madrid youth setup, because they wouldn't play how he wanted to play. Morata actually featured a decent amount considering Callejon and Higuain were still there plus di Maria was still playing out wide right. Jese didn't play, because Mourinho considered him a 9.5. According to Mourinho, a 9.5 doesn't belong in his system.

Which goes a long way to explaining why our attack blows dong. Anyone with half a brain can see he's twice the player any striker on our roster was last year. I love Jose but he's lost the plot on this one.
