Do English (UK) people really use this? I have never seen it typed earnt, only earned. After brief research, I see that it is really uncommon to use earnt. I know people pronounce it that way, but I figured that's because they were hilljacks from eastern KY.

It's interesting how poorly the English speak their own language. I've always wondered why.

Kevin Strootman has rejected overtures from Van Gaal / Man U and repeated his commitment to stay at Roma.

Hope that Sabatini/Pallotta won't be swayed by a larger offer.

Roma's signing Seydou Keita for a bit of depth (especially until Strootman returns) and is also seemingly close on young Turkish attacking midfielder Salih Uçan.

I would suppose Uçan and Leandro Paredes will battle it out this summer for depth behind Pjanic.

If the Ucan rumors are correct, that is an insanely high amount to pay for a fringe player.

10 million Euros for a guy who barely played this year?

We are going to throw that away for a guy 5 years older who has had a less productive career? Brilliant.

I ment it's smart business, I agree it's dumb in this situation (Lukaku>Costa, don't see why you sell him) but I do wonder if this has been a long term plan by Chelsea, they have a lot of young talented players out on loan who will probably never sniff the first team, letting them showcase their talent and selling them on for profit gives Chelsea a lot if flexibility in the transfer market all because of small fees paid for young players a couple of years in advance.

Earnt is simply the past tense of earn, I guess now it's more a conversation word than a written word if that makes sense but it's still a word!
Not sure if the 'level' comment was some sort if dig but I'm not some bum I've just finished my degree and am waiting to start a graduate scheme.......never thought one word would cause so much discussion

Unconfirmed reports are emerging that Chelsea have agreed a deal for Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas. TalkSPORT claims the Spanish midfielder will cost the Blues £30million and will join Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge next season. We will bring you more on this as we get it.

Kid has lots of upside but had consistency issues.

Will be interesting to see how he adapts to the English games. Also what position will he play holding mid or in the back. He was more of jack of all trades not great at anything but decent at a lot of things.

bbc's David ornstein says we've informed barça we won't be exercising the buy back clause on cesc. targets are striker, RB, GK and maybe a DM. we better be bringing in high quality signings or I'm going to be pissed.
