Klose would be a boon for MLS fans.

He's the type older player that just gets more entertaining to watch since pace isn't really his calling card.

He's the very definition of the wily, crafty veteran and still has better skills in the area than all but a few.

According to ESPN Soccernet

quote:

Manchester United will attempt to prise right-back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton in this transfer window, and sources say the club still want to make two signings in January, despite Louis van Gaal playing down all transfer speculation on Friday.

Yeah, I know that some don't like getting superstar players in the swan song to MLS due to the "retirement league" image.

However, mixing in players like a Klose still brings a level of quality that's not just past glory even if they may not play as regularly as they did in the past.

Roma's linked in rumors with CFs that could move on loan based on speculation that Destro may be sold right away if the right offer arrives.

Destro does seem to be odd man out of Rudi Garcia's plans as the desire to bring in a more dynamic ball-playing CF -- Jovetic, for ex, has been a steady goal for a while -- has been clear. Roma has also been investing heavily in young prodigies that fit that CF mold in Antonio Sanabria and Ezequiel Ponce.

However, I tend to think Destro is probably a move that happens in the summer when Roma goes for a Jovetic level-style-age player unless the short-term CF brought in would be content to play sparingly, usually as a late game sub.

Roma is certainly looking for a LB to replace Ashley Cole this winter, a top notch GK and could potentially bring in another depth winger and see Florenzi moved to RB.

right now it can't happen bc they are maxed out on DP's

either way it would be absurd if he went through the "allocation process" to TFC

It would be pretty surprising. I think he stays at Juve at least until the summer. I think a lot of mid-table European clubs would be very interested as well.

The Frodo to Leicester move has stalled over wages.

Chicago is now a player in landing him.
