i think we scrapped the idea of manquillo. or he realized he wouldn't really be getting much PT barring injury to debuchy.

nastasic...hmmm. in theory i like going after a young CB. was it injury or pellegrini's system that kept him out of the starting lineup last season? i'd prefer getting a RCB who can pair with kos and play a high line. don't remember enough of nastasic to know if he could fit that bill.

Both. He played with Kompany out early in the season, and looked lost and confused. Injuries probably kept him out of many games, but the system is probably why they're willing to let such a promising player leave.

Yea I don't think he is really ready to contribute right away for either Arsenal or Liverpool.

Manquillo seems to be highly sought after having only played 6 games for Atletico. Is he really that good?

He´s a projected absolute international. It´s the lottery, however. In addition to midfielders, Spain is becoming FB U, as well.

frick me, we´ve got to get the striker and CB thing settled.

ETA: He's only 32. I had it in my mind he was much older than that.

Yeah I really don't get why or even how people thought Utd would get Hummels for 16mil.

Havent seen it mentioned but Bojan to Stoke for 3mil

In terms of a name signing its a good one for Stoke, but can someone tell me what hes done in the last 4-5 years?

Not even 1 in 5 in Holland
1 in 4 in Spain
Not even 1 in 6 in Italy

He's still really young. Maybe Stoke is the place he can resurrect his career. He still has talent.

If Dortmund were to say that Hummels were available, it would easily start a bidding war, and Hummels could name his destination.

A friend of mine has the complete inability to pronounce any name correctly. Once when he was playing FIFA he kept saying Forlan's name like "Forlorn," which he has continued to do to this day, hence where I got the name. I think Leauxgan did the picture.

It's just so fitting. The pic. The name.

It cracks me up every time I see it.

Marko Arnautovic, who was a supposedly talented youngster, has gotten plenty of playing time there though he is still not quick enough with his decision making at times. Mark Hughes isn't a terrible coach, he's just hit and miss. Bojan will probably get playing time, since I imagine someone is getting shipped out. Bojan was as heralded as Messi was, but Bojan is a CF, and has never been a wide player. We will see if he gets the playing time at striker that he needs.
