it wasn't that terrible of a pick if 20+ folks made it.

The only time that 20+ should take a team is if it is Chelsea or City vs. arse Wipe United.

My other two choices were sunderland and west ham but I figured this was one of my few opportunities to actually get away with using Norwich

Just in case my pick earlier this week wasn't clear I did pick Man City, now hopefully they don't let me down in a few hours

...if it was a slam dunk.
Like a City-Hull matchup or some such.

So, like City at Cardiff?

Exactly... but I think that game is a great example of why NOT to pick a team that is away, and certainly not when the teams are not that wildly far apart in talent, as with Norwich and Hull.

Gotcha. Just wondering...heck, I'm terrible at these anyways. I'll be out in a week or two.

So, between Norwich and City picks, that's got to eliminate more than half the field in week one, right?

That's got to be a record.

Well, I had a Mulligan. I just thought that meant you could pick your mulligan team again later this season (I had West Ham).

Mulligan or not, I thought the fact that my pick lost means I'm out.

The purpose of the mulligan is to allow people who chose incorrectly a second chance to progress through the competition. We have enough people participating now that, including mulligans, we are able to fit two contests into a full season. Although, now that almost nobody has a mulligan anymore, I have a feeling we'll be done the first part well before Christmas. The mulligan is currently earned during week one of the competition. If at any point in the season you pick incorrectly and have a mulligan available to you, I do not eliminate you from the contest. I remove your mulligan and note the team you chose that week so that they cannot be used again. You progress to the next week as if you chose correctly. The team you pick during the first week that awards you the mulligan is not removed from the pool of available teams to you throughout the contest whether you chose correctly or incorrectly. If you were awarded a mulligan and have chosen incorrectly this week, you will not be eliminated; your mulligan will be used and you will continue next week as normal. The next time you chose incorrectly, you will be eliminated. Sorry for any confusion, I hope this clears things up. I'll also add this to next week's thread in case anyone missed it here.
