Both teams have very impressive defenses. Both teams have issues on offense against a team with a good defense (luckily I don't think anyone else has a D anywhere near this caliber). The difference was special teams. LSU has exceptional special teams. Alabama is severely lacking. Great game. Was on edge the entire time.

I'm really surprised at the amount of respect that LSU and Bama fans have shown each other after this game. It's the way it should be, two GREAT teams played their hearts out in one hell of a game, and it could have gone either way.

I felt you guys are the best team we've played in years. I felt like you guys were better the whole game. I'm so thankful we won this game.

Great game...hard fought, bruising, old school game! You guys are definitely mirror images of us, 1a and 1b...sure as hell don't want a rematch, but anybody that says you guys aren't every bit as good as us is a damn fool

My youngest son is just 8 years old but he cried after the game. Told him no shame in losing that game. Two great teams and somebody had to lose. He said he hoped LSU would at least win the national championship now. I told him they did tonight

I couldn't tell who the better team was after watching that. I'd say LSU if a gun was to my head, because of ST. And LSU 100% deserved the win at the end of the night.

LSU and Alabama were considered the best 2 teams going in to the game. I still think that perhaps they still are the best 2 teams in the land.
