The UK has a serious manpower issue as far as the Army goes. France hasn’t performed well military since God knows when.
Nobody in NATO is going to strike Russia preemptively. It would turn into a horrible conventional war that could easily segue into tactical nuke use if one side gets their back to the wall.

NATO minus the US would still be far more than Russia can handle, in conventional warfare or a nuclear exchange.

What’s Russia going to do, launch another all-out attack? Their “Zeus Lightening” all-out attack operation was scheduled for the evening of June 1st but Ukraine’s SBU hit four airbases and destroyed 41 bombers that were going to be used in the attack.

The Putin apologists are twisting reality in trying to make Zelensky the bad guy. Most rational people aren’t buying it, though.

Zelensky is going to get a ‘fire’ but not the “cease “ kind he hopes for. He pulled a Hamas/Oct. 7 level strike by hitting nuclear targets which were necessarily exposed due to international arms treaties. It’s gloves off and payback will be a bitch. Ask Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Ukraine doesn’t want the war to end because they get free money and knows that not matter how bad things get the West is going to pay for them to rebuild. New infrastructure, new hospitals, new condos and summer homes to spend their US tax dollars on. They can even import new citizens and pay them too with same monies. Besides slaughtering the male population there really is no downside to continuing the conflict.
