I support DeSantis because I am most aligned with him policy wise, probably 90%. That's why most DeSantis supporters like him, he has excellent policies and a track record. That's a rational response.
Many Trump supporters follow him because of emotional reasons or personality. You just said you don't agree with him here. Not sure what else you don't agree with him on but this is a MAJOR issue.
Thus the more "cult" behavior is to follow the candidate who you don't agree with on policy but support him anyway even when he changes positions constantly. If DeSantis comes out and changes positions he will lose my support.
