Meeting today made it clear he will NOT send illegal dreamers home. He will end up agreeing to a bill low energy Jeb or short Marco would have supported.
Weak. Weak.
I’m very disappointed. Now he’s a clown AND a cuck. ??
What does that say about little Marco swinging from his nuts

This doesn’t open the borders or destroy the rule of law.
Congress owns this...right now, RAW "They have to go back"...
That's the law, right now...if the left will move, he'll let them fix it, and a bunch of Rs will fix it

As I made very clear today, our country needs the security of the Wall on the Southern Border, which must be part of any DACA approval.
He has a strange definition of "very clear". It was like he made up a definition for "DACA" to include border security but didn't tell anyone.

They don't know any other country. DACA has some pretty strict requirements. They can't be a criminal and have to be employed or in school, as well as having come during a certain time period.
Oh yeah...what's expected of any average citizen is now "strict requirements?"
Boy how low the bar is set for illegal immigrants.
Hey man, just don't murder us in our sleep and you qualify for DACA.

I can't imagine being placed in a country that I have no recollection of or any knowledge of. No ties, having lived my whole life in another country.
Then you are weak and don't know history.
Millions of displaced people came over legally in the 19th and 20th century with no ties having lived their entire lives in another country.
My grandparents came over to America after WWII from Europe after being displaced.
They had to be sponsored by a church, have a family or relatives who would house them initially or pay for the sponsor and they had to have a job already secured and lined up before immigrating.
And they didn't teach class in anything but English back then so my parent had to learn English without any classes over the summer to understand what the teacher was talking about in Math class.
Nobody at home spoke English but they went to work and school and learned English quickly and assimilated quickly.
I bet most Dreamer families wouldn't be out of place going back to Mexico as those Dreamer kids you're so worried about probably still speak only Spanish at home and in school.

There is a simple compromise that can be made and helps everyone get a little something.
Dreamers are allowed to receive a path to citizenship but not through usual channels. They have to meet strict criteria to be eligible and then will be granted permanent resident status with:
no right to apply for citizenship for a minimum of 20 years in any way shape or form.
No right to sponsor any family member tha was/is here illegally and not eligible (i.e parents, siblings, etc).
Any felony or minimum number of misdemeanors will result in revocation or permanent resident status.
These prevent them from voting for at least twenty years or using federal services beyond their rights as a green card holder.
Others are removed and a border containment system is built along with other immigration reform measues to reduce abuse and inefficacy. I’d probably require more punishment for sanctuary cities in the law too.

It's a good compromise. They're here already. They're basically second generation. And I would bet criminals tend to come alone, not with kids. Giving them amnesty in exchange for a less porous border would be a rare example of bipartisanship in the tribal era.

Not disappointed at all. This bill is acceptable. Patriots get everify, the wall, enhanced border security, the end of chain migration, and a 50 percent cut in LEGAL immigration going forward. In Donald Trump's remaining seven years in office that's 3.5 million fewer people wearing out our infrastructure and driving down wages (a significant percentage of whom would probably be Muslim) in exchange for renewable work visas without a pathway to citizenship for the 670000 who are already here.
LINK
However, I am in favor of the bill as it is currently drafted. This is a MINIMUM I would accept.
Any further retreat is unacceptable.

What did the House and Senate pass that he vetoed? No?

Indeed he did.......pure Genius (the art of the deal).
The onus is on Reps and Dems to come together with
a plan. If they don't, who will you blame?....never mind
we already know.
BTW, I didn't vote for Hillary or Trump...I pulled the
lever for "Drain the swamp" and "Build a wall".

Revelation: Core Trump supporters are the real cucks and use this term when talking about others because they know the condition so well from experience.
Trump does whatever he wants with whomever he chooses, has a love fest/orgy with Dems on immigration while they watch, tells them lies about what he's going to do, and they still love him madly.
Yeah, he's a reall hard-arse on immigration '"We're not looking at amnesty,” Trump said. “We're looking at allowing people to stay here. … We're talking about taking care of people."
Just to head the Trumpkins off at the pass, I despise democrats and centrist Republicans.
'real' conservatives are outraged
Even James Woods ....

These threads make the "muh Obstructionist" cries from 2009-16 look pretty funny.

THIS. I’m reallllly sick of the left and they’re bleeding heart BS especially knowing the atrocities they profit from.
One side of my family came here off the boats of Nova Scotia (speaking only French). My pawpaw told me that he’d get spanked on the hand with a ruler at school any time he spoke in French and not English. He said it was hard because he wanted to communicate so badly, but if he didn’t know the right English word, he knew he’d get spanked. With a twinkle in his eye he said, “bay, you know how much your ol Pawpaw loves to talk. I learned that English fast, Cher.”
I’m ok with the dreamers and DACA IF and ONLY if we get the wall. A big long tall wall.

I understand why Trump ordered the cameras into the immigration meeting -- to show his competence vs. the growing narrative of losing his grip. The result, however, showed a president who said 3 different things, agreed to Feinstein's recommendation to do DACA first, then reversed when McCarthy corrected on the Republican stance, and then washed his hands of any leadership on the issue by saying he would sign anything. He demonstrated NO ability to negotiate and was saying yes to anything because he doesn't understand the issues.
