I didn't have much of a problem with the first two, but confirming a judge one week before the election is a bit crappy to me. But I understand it. They played within the rules of the game and sadly our highest court is now just a game.

So I expect the dems to play the game to their favor and the court is forever tainted for everyone.

And you can thank the Democrats for that. The ball started rolling with what Ted Kennedy did to Robert Bork.

They never envisioned the republicans being in power when Harry Reid did away with the filibuster.

They thought Crooked Hillary would be president & house-senate democratic.
Good point. After Bush, then McCain, everyone was proclaiming the Republicans would be a party on its death bed by 2020.

The rules were already played with by Reid, not sure what rule you are talking about. The Republicans played by the Dems rule, you and them just don't like the outcome.

Don't be puss.

No crying about it at all, but it's true, go look it up. Reid changed the rules for lower courts, and the Republicans changed the rules for the Supreme Court.

It’s the same rules, regarding federal judicial confirmation, you idiot.

How disappointed will you be when that doesn't happen?

I would say, at this point, replace Thomas and Alito with young, conservative constitutionalists to extend the conservative court for decades.

You probably need to wait a few days for this to gain traction.

So a President is only supposed to do their job for 3.75 years of their term? That’s what you’re saying, right?

You would be straight-faced lying if you said the Dems would have rolled over and waited until after the election if Hillary was president and Dems controlled the Senate.

This... In the current age of ever increasing media... What Kennedy did to Bork was criminal in the moment and forever changed the character of the supreme court justice selection process.

Harry Reid was a Republican? He was the one who changed the rules that required 60 votes on judicial nominees to a simple majority in 2013. Remind me again who controlled the Senate in 2013.
