It seems people dream up these kind of schemes (like BLM or other such groups) that sound good to people who don't have a good grasp of reality just so they can run it and eventually abuse or steal from them.

Ball,

Here outside the US you should see it. "Black women breaking the culture barrier" by some multi degreed woman from the US. The woman is actually making people outside the US believe their is some sort of barrier to dei candidates in the US.

And her sponsors, UN, US Embassy, etc. All your tax dollars.

Religions do this too.

Churches and/or clergy do.

We just had to terminate our pastor. Was found to be less than financially trustworthy. We had grown from just him and a piano player to a decent size church. Outgrew the governance. Good wake up call that could have been a lot worse.

All that to say, a friend lamented to me that this was the second church that had let him down. Former church had issues with the pastor, but covered it up. We dealt with it.

I pointed out to him that his other church let him down. In our case, the pastor did. The church dealt with it, and kept the congregation informed.

My point: “Religion” has no body on its own. It’s the people that are the issue.
