There's a greater chance that Paul Ryan is SOTH on 1/22/2021 than there is that Trump is still President.

No. If he doesn't get replaced with someone that can muster OCare replacement and not do things RYAN'S WAY-- the next Speaker will be Pelosi or Schumer.

I sure hope not. Besides selling us out and pretending to be Conservative, the House is feckless under his watch.

You seriously think there will be a 2nd term.

That is what made your post funny and not serious.

House republicans are getting an earful from their constituents during this recess. They won't return to Washington enamoured with a Speaker who put them in this position.

You obviously didn't think Trump would have a 1st term. I guess that means I'm the one who gets to laugh for now?

There was no good options running for president. I didn't vote for HRC or Trump.

HRC and Trump are the same when it comes to being president. The SCOTUS is probably the only difference and golf. HRC would have had to nominate a moderate.

Laugh all you want, but I believe neither would win a second term.

The real question is who is going to be at their position after 4 years? Ryan or Trump? From what I'm hearing I'll take Ryan....

He's there because the establishment needs him to be the Ying to Trump's yang. Trump with a favorable SOTH will put pressure on Senate that they don't want.

Other than Garland, when was the last time a Democrat nominated a Moderate to the court?

Garland was only nominated because Obama knew the Repubs would not give him a hearing and the Dems wanted political points over it.

If Hillary would have won she would not have renewed Garlands nomination.
It is likely that the Republicans would have tried to rush him trough bbecause it would have been the best they could have hoped for.

Probably. To get passed the Senate she would have to nominate someone to get through.

Trump is president and we don't have to deal with what if's, but everything he does or doesn't do is pissing people off. After the 2018 elections we will see if that changes.

So who is going to be the Dem savior in 2020?

Booker?
Warren?
Castro?

Why won't he remain SOTH? The Freedom Caucus and any opposition group are comparatively small and weak.

Warren is already claiming she won't run, but Trump would beat any of those three.
