Why isnt the supervisor named? I have an idea who it might be. Regardless, if you dig into these situations what you find is a revolving door among many of the various IG positions. And generally you can find scandals surrounding them, where instead of acting as honest investigators, they serve as backstops for their agencies and discard logic and facts in order to arrive at positions and adjudications that support the agency and discredit allegations and those making them.

I was curious. The piece was written by the guy’s lawyer I believe. So he may be trying to avoid accusations of inciting harassment.
Who do you think it is?

Too true, in a lot of cases. Just another way the various agencies have insulated themselves "hey we investigated ourselves and it turns out we do nothing wrong"

It's stuff like this that pisses me off, but it also pisses me off that Trump could take care of this with a phone call.
Perhaps there's a reason that I am not aware of, but these types of bullshite turf wars could be easily solved. The person roadblocking this could be fired, or transferred to some bullshite post in Alaska.
The president doesn't actually need anyone's permission for clearance. He can award or revoke security clearance for anyone at anytime, as well as classify or declassify information at any time.

That's true, but look how the media just exploded over something as stupid as revoking the security clearance of a guy who wasn't being allowed to see classified intel anyway? I mean talk about stupid, they hammer him over EVERYTHING.
I mean I have to ask, why the frick didn't he just hand out the FISA warrant in whole, unredacted? That is 100% within his power to do, unquestioned. If POTUS wants to declassify that and make it public he can do so. But , of course, if Trump had done so the media would have exploded in the same kind of stupidity they have over everything else he has done.

Mr. Bigley said Mr. Baker initiated the Lovinger inquiry and picked two investigators who the attorney said had no training. Based on their report, Ms. Westgate suspended his clearance.
Looks like it’s a Ms. Westgate.

Also in this PJ Media piece, Halper was paid $411,000 to compile other researcher’s info.

I’d guess this Lovinger cat has some information that needed squashing.

Yeah. The truth is that Halper was part of the dossier team and the FBI knew he was full of shite because they used to pay him to be full of shite.
Nobody wants the incestuous circle of the HRC machine to come to light.

From another article someone posted yesterday about this.
quote:These fricking shysters are getting millions for doing nothing.
Mr. Bigley (Lovinger's attorney) said his client also complained internally about a string of contracts totaling $11 million to D.C. consulting firm Long Term Strategy Group. It is headed by Jacqueline Newmyer Deal, a self-described “best friend” of Chelsea Clinton.i
In the fall of 2016, as the election loomed, Mr. Lovinger sent emails to Mr. Baker and other officials at the Office of Net Assessment complaining about the entire outside contracting process. He also said the office failed to write papers on long-term threats presented by radical Islam, China and Iran.
“Some of our contractors distribute to others their ONA work for personal and professional self-promotion,” Mr. Lovinger wrote. “Another part is the growing narrative that ONA’s most high-profile contractors are known for getting paid a lot to do rather peripheral work.
He also said: “On the issue of quality, more than once I have heard our contractor studies labeled ‘derivative,’ ‘college-level’ and based heavily on secondary sources.
One of our contractor studies was literally cut and pasted from a World Bank report that I just happened to have read the week before reading the contractor study itself. Even the font was the same."
”The Washington Free Beacon in October reported that Hillary Clinton, as secretary of state in 2009, arranged meetings between Ms. Deal and Pentagon officials to discuss contracts.

It’s a typical DC Rube Goldberg machine which requires inputs of millions of dollars and produces nothing but garbage oppo research for the purpose of involving lawyers.

How much of the $11 million do you think made it back to Chelsea and the rest of the Clinton's?

Must be nice. "Hey Chelsea, your mother can get me this $11 million contract, and I'll give you a job as a "consultant" and pay you $3 million. Sounds good?"

How do you think Chelsea Clinton lives in a $15 million apartment in NYC’s TriBeCa neighborhood with no job and no visible means of support.

Trump is handcuffed. The gop, concerning Trump, blows in whichever direction the msm blows.
A wrong move, and weak gop will vote with democrats, to impeach Trump. Gop doesn't want the swamp cleaned. Gop are the same as democrats, in that regard.
So Trump is forced to just inch along.. while the gop and democrats laugh it up.

When you criticize your boss in memos don't get mad when they drop the hammer. He thought he was the man until he got put in his place.

That’s not how whistle blowing works. Barbara may end up getting far more scrutiny than she wanted.
