The Democrats share the same psychological rage that all Communists have shared. They are conducting a cultural purge right now , are GREATLY expanding their Enemies of The Revolution list, have weaponized The State and are currently working up the courage to bring their murderous fantasies to life. I think right now most are content with just destroying lives rather than actually ending them. But that will change over time .

I don't think so. It is the far, far left that want it and they are a very loud minority but unfortunately, they appear to be in charge. More moderate demonrats seem to be in fear of speaking up as they will be "canceled". The 2022 midterms will be the most important election in history.
