Would it make more sense not to target sanctuary cities?

If you target red states and suburbs that surround sanctuary cities who will assist in deportation it will create a mass movement that will overwhelm sanctuary cities.

-Rents will double
-Medical treatment wait time would be off the charts
-Schools will be overwhelmed
-Populations will have a massive increase that will overwhelm infrastructure

It will bankrupt the cities where they will be forced to ask for help in removal. Targeting sanctuary cities looks like it’s going to recreate the summer of 2020. We need to give them what they want and force a handful of cities in America to take all the illegals and deal with them when they submit from the collapse.

Trump won’t arrest the politicians and activists who are trying to stroke civil unrest. Police won’t assist in culling the violence. ICE also won’t fight the protesters not to escalate the situation. The best way forward is to act strategically rather than tough and with force.

Better yet Trump should make a video telling illegals a list of cities that won’t help him such as LA, Boston, Denver, and etc.

That they will no longer be targeted unless they are a violent criminal and that anywhere else in the country you will be caught and deported. It would cause such a mass migration none of them would be able to handle it.

I was thinking the same thing when I read the Los Angeles stuff this morning. Let them collapse under their own weight. Surely all of the federal assistance for illegals has been cut off to these cities already????

That’s step 2 any federal funding that goes to help with illegals is cut so they a forced to now triple pay losing fed pay and an increase on dependents. It would take a year to fold:

I wish they'd target my region of SC.

The blotters are chock-full of certain people driving drunk, open container, without a license and often speeding on top of all the above. There have been a decent number of traffic fatalities due to these drunk non licensed certain peoples.

What particular region of SC is that?

I mean…it’s pretty much statewide and has been for a long time.

Trump needs to start going full frontal with the removal of illegals, PERIOD!!

That means APPLYING ALL OF THE LAWS!!

You hired illegals, you get in trouble
You are here as an illegal and have a clean record, too bad! Out you go!

No distinction between good and bad illegals! You either defend your borders or not!!
Enough of this bullshite and to hell with the idiots defending illegals!

If you like them so much that you will attack federal agencies, well guess what…you too can go to jail!

The ONLY difference between a First world country and a Third developing country is that its citizens and its government FOLLOW the law!

THATS IT!!

OP is spot on.

Just look at Chicago, they proposed a higher property tax to cover the costs incurred by all their housing of illegal aliens as a sanctuary city. Or look at New York, where they have been buckling with the costs

Its not sustainable, give them a few years and the fiscal damage will pile up. They will be begging for ICE to clean up the streets

Subtract the cost of ICE operations from whatever federal funds states/cities get.
Make it hurt.

Yah I agree with OP. Feels like a tactical mistake to be poking huge hornets nests in L.A. and Seattle and Denver to grab 4 or 5 people

In a perfect world yes, but we have limited resources. Resources better put to use in the interim cleaning up cities that wont fight tooth and nail to roadblock ICE from doing its job

When Deep Blue States & Municipalities threaten to circumvent the law, let them.

This works both ways: Red States can create 1st and 2nd Amendment “Sanctuaries” so when progs inevitably gain power again and attempt to restrain our natural rights, local jurisdictions will have a tool to resist such tyranny.

The main problem here is that during the hysteria surrounding the early days of the COVID-1984 pandemic, the FED announced that it would backstop the troubled munibond market.

So when these blue cities go bankrupt, U.S. taxpayers will tasked with bailing them out:

This is an opinion uttered by someone that doesn't understand math

We can not deport at a rate that would make sense to not target the bad ones first

In the 4 years of Trump's second term we won't put much of a dent in the illegal population

Trump already cut border crossings to all time lows. We will have negative net illegals by the time his term is up, instead of the dems letting in tens of millions of "bad hombres" as POTUS put it so perfectly
