Its like giving up smoking. You don't have to go cold turkey. Gave up all pro sports long time ago. Then NCAA basketball. Can ditch LSU football and baseball if have to. Nice to know lots of folks feel the same.

Then there will have to be major changes for the NFL and NBA to survive. The value of pro sports to society is the entertainment it provides and in doing so brings together people of all backgrounds, races, religious and political beliefs to rally around their team and allows them to put all that aside and escape the world for some amount of time. The NFL and NBA are no longer about entertainment, they are interjecting those divisive things into the fields, courts and into the broadcast booths. It is time for those organizations to wither away or fall so far they have to get back to being just sports.
Even as radical as Hollywood has become, I can allow myself to be entertained by a left wing nut for a couple of hours as long as the movie has a decent plot that doesn’t get political and lecture me. By bringing it into the actual game, the NFL and NBA are no longer viable entertainment for most of America and provide no value at all to society.

Can entertainment be purchased for the price of your own dignity? This discussion has been precipitated its seems by the BLM issue but it goes much deeper. I hoped your mute stays on but turn it off and watch a while. The big corp pay these huge payoffs to the networks in order to push their agendas down our throats. Think I'm wrong. Watch the commercials a while and a pattern emerges. There are some folks at the top of the food chain and others at the bottom. One of the worst offenders is AT&T. Ordinarily a woman would be untouchable but theres one where she portrays a babysitter who doesnt "have a clue" The reason is that the couple who are leaving are two gay men. Of course ordinarily at the very bottom are adult men. Its amazing that a company that I know is in deep financial dodo will spend a billion on a stadium to promote this crap. Remember this the next time you need a phone.

KSU should let them go. There will be others who want to play for a scholarship.
