You have the right to buy a license same as driving a car.

I don't mind the gays marrying b/c it leaves more women for straight guys. I also don't mind bi-sexual females that get with guys. Gays are definitely strange folk though. They get their feelings hurt real easy so you can't really satirically joke around them or talk politics around them. Let them be gay and stay the frick away.

would settle for having to pass the same test immigrants take to become a citizen. A civics\history test. Must make over 80% or you cant vote.
In my mind a dumb guy/girl who goes to work everyday and pays his own rent and buys his own Twinkies is welcome to vote. It's the generational parasites who need to be stricken from the rolls.

Bruh, driving a car, on government supplied roads, is not a right. Never was.

I was saying you have the right to take the test and pass and pay for a drivers license same as you have the right to purchase a marriage license

You aint going to win any elections on that platform.
Imagine how many elections the right would win if women couldn’t vote though?

But isn't marriage a right?
I am of the mind that we should not need a license for it at all. Why does government need to get involved? Other than revenues what purpose does the license serve?
Oh, wait. It takes away the right to get married because if that was a right, then ending it would also be a right.
Damn. I forgot.

The government should apply Christian principles on social issues such as gay marriage, abortion, etc. Our civilization was thriving when we were Christian at our core. The Marxist agenda is to brainwash all of you into adopting secular beliefs. This has caused and will continue to cause the downward spiral that we have been in for decades.

Again that is your opinion and your nor mine carry any weight in who makes marriage legal. As of today the government is the entity that makes marriage legal.

Have you ever heard of separation of church and state. Christians nor Muslims nor any other religion have the right to make the laws in America.

I have. And the United States was founded upon Christian principles.

How does one separate church from state when the congregation is the constituency?

America is not a congregation

Nah, as the fact it required a long process was the point.

By the same process as which we amend the constitution. Which is absolutely not going to happen without, at the minimum, a sustained public pressure campaign similar to the Women's Suffage movement. Arguably it is more difficult now, especially considering what it required.

You only need a license if you want it recognized by the government. If the only recognition important to you is your family and church then get married sans license.
