Jonah Hill did a podcast with Bill Simmons this week and they actually talked about that for a while.

Comedy is dead.

Not a comedy but Dragged Across Concrete will be this board's new favorite movie. Its directed by the guy who did Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99 and stars Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn. I can't wait to see this.

If you use the left's rules every movie ever made prior to 2017 has an instance of #metoo. I mean Kristen Bell went after Snow frickin White...

shite think of most of the 70’s and 80’s movies. Porkys would be thrown out in today’s world. Pure sexism. Airplane for the crude jokes. most 70’s and 80’s would be so Non-Pc If made today. Axel Foley would offend.
Even something like trading places would offfend today’s crowd.
Even shows/sitcoms like All in the family, the Jefferson’s, welcome back Kotter, Sanford and son, anything Mel Brooks would devastate the PC crowd.

Edited for additional shows/movies

The entire country should be forced to sit down and watch it. It’s that great of a movie. It offends everyone and shows how big of idiots we all are.

Nothing really "anti-PC" in this one that I can recall, just that type of comedy seems to be dead.

Is one of my favorites along with the above. So many good quotes came out of this movie, Dodgeball, and the like (Anchorman comes to mind). NPCs would totally be offended by Robert Downey Jr. in blackface today, but to me that was one of the funniest parts of the movie and wasn't meant to be offensive. My black friends thought it was hilarious too.

It makes me sad that we haven't seen comedies in this same vein since this string of movies came out, now they're just Kate McKinnon and Melissa McBride in watered down reboots or rehashed romcoms with nothing charming about them whatsoever.

Porky's is not getting remade unless it's an all female cast perving on guys or getting revenge for their perving.

The Jerk is not getting remade.

Airplane is not getting remade.

Trading Places is not getting remade.

So we're safe...movies we love won't be getting remade.

"You must understand, these people had been completely isolated from Civilization.

No one had ever outlined a physical fitness program for them. It was probably due to the advanced American teaching techniques that we were able to bridge the generations of isolation and communicate so successfully with the Molombo.

I think they're getting the hang of it, when we re-enlist I'll teach them baseball."

Maybe some independent filmmakers will put out their own films like Clerks. Progs would probably accuse the dead guy of promoting rape culture if Hollywood did it.

I’m trying to think of the last great comedy I remember seeing, and I’m really struggling to think of one from the past 4 years.

This is one reason why Bill Burr’s career has skyrocketed.

Go back and watch “Why Do I Do This?” His jokes on racism are hilarious.

One of my favorite movies is Heavyweights. That would be called fat shaming now and we would never have that masterpiece of a movie. That’s why I love comedians like Aries Spears and Bill Burr. They don’t give a frick what you think about them and they are like oh yea frick you.

Of course not. There’s reviews of First Man that bitch that’s there’s lack of current political awareness and not enough minorities.
